Makes a perfect alkaline mouth rinse
Perfect flavoring touch to make an alkaline mouth rinse. The recipe is one teaspoon baking soda, four teaspoons xylitol (a natural sugar substitute made from birch trees) and four drops of peppermint extract. This rinse is gargled to neutralize oral acidity in order to combat acid loving bacteria and prevent acid from leaching calcium out of enamel which led in my case to a broken tooth. An empty eye drop bottle serves to dispense the drops. The alkaline rinse tastes as minty and fresh as any commercial mouth rinse without the cost or acidic chemicals.

Peppermint extract has a 3-4 year shelf life. The product I received expires in 4 months. For the size of bottle, it would normally last me over a year. Waste of money. Buy local
