I read the negative reviews and was scared to buy this hat, but I'm rather picky when it comes to my baseball style caps so I bought it anyway because I obviously really liked it. Using a tailor measuring tape I measured about an inch above my brow line where the elastic would generally sit and I am 21 1/2 inches or about 54 1/2 cm. Out of the box it sat flush on my head, but just enough that it wouldn't be loose if I jerked my head from side to side or front to back, so pretty much I think roundabout my size head is the absolute minimum fit out of the box. If my head was even a 1/2 inch smaller it would be wobbling around up there. So Anyway, I don't like just barely flush on my head so I took a hair dryer put it on high and for about 5 minutes I heated the inside elastic while holding it by the brim and then put it into on my head where I'd wear it and blew it for another 2-3 minutes. I then wore the hot (but not overly hot) hat on my head for the next hour so the elastic could better form around my head. I'd say it shrunk down about 1 hate size so if I were wearing a hat that was a 7 now it's about a 6 7/8. Now the cap fits perfectly on my head. So to answer the age old question will this hat fit on your head, I'd say yes....for most people. If you have a head size below 'average' then you can do the hair dryer method and buy hat reducers (Amazon sells them) which are essentially pieces of foam strip to adhere to the inside of the cap to add some soft friction to your head. If your about 'average', you can simply blow dry it down a size if necessary and it'll be fine. If your head is large then you shouldn't have any issues at all because this hat is definitely more of a L/XL size to begin with. The hat looks great both brim facing forward or back...whatever your wearing preference is. All in all unless you're dealing with a really tiny pea sized head or a beachball sized head I'd say there are ways to get it to fit if you like the look as much as I do. Feels great and is comfortable as well. I've only owned it for a day so far, so it's hard for me to predict if the elastic will be an issue, but I'm not thinking it will be. Sorry about the long winded review, but reading all the other reviews just made me more confused. Hopefully this is your one stop shop for a solid answer for you and your head size situation regarding the fitting of this cool hat.

I purchased this after reading many reviews that the fit, even though one size fits all, was too big for many people who purchased this hat. I was hesitant about buying it because I consider my own head to have a smaller diameter, but went ahead and purchased it anyway. That being said, the hat fit perfectly. It was not too big, but also not too tight. The material makes the hat more lightweight than most caps. It is also a very breathable material, good for hot weather. I highly recommend this purchase as I love the design and high quality construction.

Absolutely terrible hat. Very cheaply made and too much money for such a crap product. Within a week the hat lost all shape and collapsed. The sweat band all curled up and pleated against my forehead making it very uncomfortable to wear. Terrible over priced product.
