Originally I had two 12” ported subs in one box. This wouldn’t fit in the trunk of my new car so I went for this single 12” Pioneer. I knew it would be quieter than my old unit but wow it certainly kicks some bass with a decent 500w amp. It won’t give you super window shattering bass but it does make music sound a LOT better and you are certainly aware of its presence! Great value for money compared to its rivals of the same size and spec.

I bought this for my husband for his Ford transit to go under his seat and omg it sounds great and he shows it off to everyone

This is a little gem if used correctly. This is not a competition sub with massive bass. This is also not a sub that will be effective in a big vehicle. This is a small sub that works nicely in a small vehicle to add some solid low bass thump and fill. It is a single 8 inch sub at 4 ohms and comes in it's own enclosure. It has a decent power handling, but doesn't need a ton of power to sound good. I'm just using the rear channel of a four channel Kenwood amp at 150 watts to power it. Again, this is in a small truck as my competition days have long passed. The enclosure feels solid and has screw down terminals instead of cheap push tabs. Quality sound addition.
