The Honest Mask made by Anplus is a personal safety mask that uses N99 PM2.5 filter technology to ensure safe breathing. I'm not a scientist! What do these numbers mean?N99 PM2.5 means this mask will filter out 99% (better than N95 which only filters 95%) of all particulate matter (ie, nasty stuff) down to just 2.5 µm (micrometers). How small is that?Well, the hairs on your head are about 70 µm, unless you have amazingly thick hair, in which case, yay for you! Okay, I still can't really visualize 2.5 µm!How about this? A red blood cell is about 5 µm so this mask will filter out anything half that size. Half! That means this mask is can easily handle pollution, allergens, etc. Another great thing--this mask includes 5 individually sealed filters. What about that plastic thingy?The Honest Mask has a built-in, one-way valve for effortless exhaling. Breathe in through the filter, breathe out through the valve. You won't be recycling your breath, you won't feel stuffy. And for those of you who wear glasses--no more foggy glasses like with other masks. How do I care for and feed my mask to keep it happy?The mask is made of cotton so it can be hand-washed with mild detergent and re-used, making it cost-effective and environmentally-friendly. The filters are replaceable, and each package comes with five. We suggest replacing the filter every 2-3 days with regular use; for environments that are particularly dirty with pollution, pollen, etc, feel free to replace them sooner.
