Great value dial indicator
Just whatโs required to help measure the alignment of the bellhousing to engine on my 1965 Mustang.Very easy to use, switch it on, zero it and then measure.

Accuracy is barely 0.06 nowhere close to 0.001 claimed
The accuracy of this is appalling. I bought it expecting it to only be 0.01mm rather than 0.001mm, but it fell far short of those expectations.Checking against another more accurate dial gauge with a shorter range I found that the first 12mm of this dial gauge varied from 52um (0.052mm) over, to 10um (0.010mm) under, with an average of 15um over, and an 18um standard deviation. With a 20mm calibration cube, it read a huge 0.15mm low.Not only that but the build quality is terrible. The gauge does not run smoothly out of the box, and it requires some finessing to get it to run without grinding, especially close to the end of travel, where it frequently sticks at the 2.2mm mark. The battery was not isolated from the circuit, so it was already furring up.Finally, this has a flat back plate, so it does not have a standard mounting hole bracket that most dial gauges have.

The DTI is not as accurate as stated.
The DTI is not accurate. Best I could get was 2 thou over 1/2". Not adjustable. Not sure why they make the resolution 0.00005"

Inaccurate at specified micron level
Easy to use but very in accurate at micron level. If zeroed at a position, moved and returns to same position the value reads as a much as 20-30 microns off. Most of the time it reads 4-10 micros off but for an item with 0.001mm accuracy and when I need to work with 0.025mm tolerance this is not adequate.Spend a bit more for a Mitutoyo.

Skip this one.
It arrived with a missing screw, it doesn't reset to 0 so accuracy is in doubt. When actuated relatively fast it changes it's zero position on it's own. Seems like bad value for money.
