Great Product (Higly Recommende)
Aside from putting in a dog door in my house, this is the best thing I have purchased in a long time. I've worked in the construction and engineering industry for 20 plus years, and ladders are widow makers . Injuries and deaths are fairly common. We have had multiple injuries (some minor and some severe), and a few deaths. Surprisingly, for step ladders most falls occur from heights of 3 to 6 feet feet above the surface. People get careless, fall and hit their head on a concrete or steel surface or obstacle. They either are not wearing a hard hat (with a chin strap) or are wearing it improperly and it falls off before they hit. Even if you avoid a head injury, you're going to break some bones if its a hard surface. On extension ladders all of our accidents have been due to improper angling and set up on slick surfaces without a tie down or stablizer, and more importantly people making the transition from the ladder to a working surface (e.g., a roof). They step or on the ladder, and the ladder goes one way the person goes the other. The stabilizer and hand rails on this product are excellent and defiinitely provide a much safer and secure ladder. Set up is super easy, and they have a good video, and no tools required although I did use some pliers to tighten the wing nuts. It really makes a world of difference. Highly recommended, and a super small investment that will signficantly reduce the risk of serious injury or deaths.

I'm Not Afraid To Climb On My Roof Anymore.
Climbing on my roof has always been a scary proposition. Because I have very expensive aluminum rain gutters, I am limited as to where I can prop up my extension ladder. Not only does this device protect the edges of my roof by standing off a few inches but also offers better stability for a narrow climb. The retractable safety rails allow you to pass through and over the top of the ladder. This is much better than awkwardly and dangerously climbing back on sideways at the top of ladder. It's very well made and although it's not cheap, it's worth every penny if you're concerned about safety and who wouldn't be? I'm not afraid to climb on my roof anymore.

Great Ladder Stabilizer for Gutter Cleaning!
We used this device to stabilize our ladder against the roof and hold the ladder away from our gutters so we could clean them. It is sturdy, was easy to install and worked very well. Just know that it's best to have two relatively strong people to maneuver the full ladder across the roofline as attaching this device tends to make the ladder top-heavy and a bit unwieldily.

Safety
This is a piece of junk. The rails were difficult to move up and down and flimsy. I definitely did NOT fell safe using the rails. The cost to produce must be < $100. When I requested a return, the company was looking me to pay $64 for the UPS return! What a gimmick. Nevertheless, it's the safety issue that's my real reason I requested a return. I have contacted OSHA to stop this company from selling a product i feel is unsafe.

Extremely confident getting on and off roof
I wouldn't have been able to access my roof without these rails. You feel extremely safe using them to get on and off the ladder. It's essential equipment if you don't want to risk falling and breaking your neck which is not uncommon.

A must to have as you get older
I am in my late 60's and getting on and off the roof ladder was becoming more concerning. I used to never think about it when stepping off the ladder and onto the roof tiles and vice versa. The ladder would be leaned against the eves and would always move a little but it was not a concern in my younger days. Now days my footing is not what it was and I was getting a little leery of going on and off the roof. Until I found this product. It took 30 minutes to attach it to my ladder. Now the upper feet rest on the tiles, no more sliding back and forth on the eves. Very stable. The first time I stepped off the ladder onto the roof I was amazed at how confident I felt while still holding onto the hand rails. And the same when departing the roof and stepping onto the ladder. I wish I would have purchased this years ago. I have to say it does add top heavy weight to the ladder. I have a 24' extension ladder. I can still carry it but two people would be better. Thanks for coming up with this great product!

Getting on/off roof much easier
This product is lightweight. It weighs about 5 lbs and is very easy to put it on the ladder without any tools. Since it needs pull out extension ladder 3 lungs so it makes a little bit harder to raise the ladder. I guess this also depends on what kind of ladder you are going to put it on. I put it on a 32' ladder and I'm 62. However, I'm still able to raise my ladder without any help. It makes much easier and safer to get on/off roof. It's a bit pricy but worth the money. I really like it.
