I was worried about which size to order because I am losing weight. I am usually a medium in most things, but I ordered a small since I am losing weight and was worried a medium would stretch out after time and be too big. It was a little tight getting over my butt, but it fits perfectly! I would recommend it is tapered slightly smaller at top and larger near hips. It is great to put lotion or a warming gel on and put this over to keep the cremes from getting on your clothes. Measurements for reference: Hips: 38.6in Abdomen: 35in Waist: 31.4in Underbust: 33in Pant size: 4 or 6 depending on brand and stretch.

First, I must state that I did not buy this for nor am I reviewing it as a shaper or spot reducer. This is used to keep my back warm for those very early morning(late night) workouts with weights or the rower. My old back does not always wake up as fast as my head and this is great for keeping warmth on the area. It is also very useful for adding warmth to the back if you have stiffness. I deliberately bought this style as opposed to the Velcro wrap around styles because the Velcro ultimately gives out and starts slipping or even coming loose in the middle of a row piece. Sizing- I measured on the very high end of the XL and went with that size. In hindsight, I think I could go down a size and still have a good fit and additional support. All in all a reasonable size chart provided by the seller. Shape- yes this is designed for a female torso but for my uses I don't care or even notice once it is on. Great value.

I'm on the fence with this product.. I use it everyday, but does it really get you extreme results? No . First off my waist is 42 inches and yet the XXL seemed to fit very loosely, but better than being to tight rolling up all the time right? lol. But I still sweat not dramatically but my tummy does sweat although I haven't physically noticed a significant difference. I use it under my clothes all the time as it smooths the look of my tummy better than my girdle's that show through my clothes. And I wear it every time I work out.. Overall I like it but I'm not ecstatic about it. I would say it was decent enough for me as a beginner thermal trainer since it was my first and in my price range so I don't regret the purchase and even my friend got one and she likes it a lot too, but if you are looking for extreme results this is not the one for you. You need to look for one with latex and steel bones. Even after I buy one of those I could see my self still using this one in fact I 'm considering buying one in a smaller size, so that's why I still gave it a 4 star.

I bought this shaper in hopes of 'sweating' away some water weight. I purchased my first one as a 2XL and found that it was too big. I returned it for an XL and found that was too big as well. I am now in a size L and it too is too loose. I am pretty sure I didn't drop 5 inches within a week's time. I am thinking that this product stretches quite easily. By tape measure, my waist is 40 inches, however this shaper states that it fits a 35-37 inch waist. This leads me to believe that this shaper doesn't keep it's size very well. In it's defense, this is quite comfortable and covers my 'mama pooch' and rides just at my hips. Unfortunately, due to the size it is not doing much for me at all. It's not tight enough to make your belly look like anything but a rounded ball. I would like to find a smaller size, but have already returned this product twice... I ordered a Medium now and this fits my waist, however the torso is too short and the back rolls down. I can't seem to find a right fit for this product.

I ordered this for a couple of different reasons. I had read that the neoprene would cause you to sweat more in the area that was covered by it, plus it would provide some support for the midsection. I have degenerative disc disease, and that coupled with an oversized midsection (my nice way of saying I am overweight), even light jogging puts quite a strain on my back. So I found myself in a classic case of Catch 22. I needed to exercise to lose weight, but couldn't exercise until I lost weight. I decided to wear it the day after I got it for a walk on my treadmill. Once on, I could feel my gut being held in place. I bounced up and down a couple of times and noticed that the jiggle was not nearly as pronounced as usual. I walked for about 30 minutes, adjusting the girdle a couple of times until it felt just right. Even just walking, I noticed some sweat dripping on the treadmill. I wasn't sweating (or at least not on my head), but found the top of my shorts to be pretty damp from sweat. Taking it off was a little yucky, it was definitely sweaty. Yesterday, I wogged (walk/jogged) with it on and was very please with the way it kept my core firm. Again, sweat, sweat, sweat. Fine by me, water weight lost is still weight lost! I have checked the stitching both times in case I needed to do some proactive repairs, but haven't seen any unraveling yet. Overall, I am very happy with it and will continue using it (after washing it!)
