Fantastic unit with mediocre accessories
What you're paying for here is clearly the soldering iron, which is great. Fantastic even. Heating to 350 degrees is almost instantaneous, and the recovery time is phenomenal, plus the unit seems to hold and maintain heat far, far better than any temperature controlled unit I've used to date. The stand, however, sucks as they all do. It's not nearly heavy enough and unstable unless affixed with the adhesive pad, which is permanent and a terrible idea for most people I imagine unless you're using it in the same place every time. What I did instead was set a button magnet in the top of my work bench with epoxy and then add a steel washer to the bottom on the adhesive pad.I find the lights are a little gimmicky (if I need more light I have plenty of other lights, and I imagine most folks with a soldering iron at this level would too), but the temp control makes up for any shortcomings. It would be nice if this had a case for the iron and tips as well, but again a fairly minor gripe.

Fast warmup, stiff power cord
I have found the precise heat control makes soldering so much easier for my lowly soldering skills. The tips are easy to change. Be gentle with changing tips, the mount feels fragile. My biggest complaint is the power cord is stiff and bent from packaging. I have not been able to loosen it up nor straighten even after heating the cord. But since I use it occasionally, I put up with it. I don’t seem to understand SLEEP MODE, I have yet to observe that feature actually working.

It is just what the Dr. ordered.
Like.... EVERYTHING...except...Dislike .... I would give it a perfect 5 EXCEPT the stand that comes with it is wayyy to light-weight. You almost HAVE to attach it to a table top or stand with the sticky back tape that comes with it. Otherwise , the weight of the Iron plus the cord will keep tipping over . Make the stand a little more heavy-duty and you got yourself an OUTSTANDING product. TMHO. STILL, I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.....

It works well
I’ve only used it for one project so far but it heated up fast and worked well. Plastic is predictably cheap feeling, which if handled roughly could pose a problem but I expected that and didn’t have any issues when changing tips and tightening the collar down. I didn’t have an appropriate thermometer to test the temperature but it is nice that there is a function that allows you to calibrate the digital readout if you have the capacity to test it and it proves inaccurate.

The best soldering iron for the money
Great soldering iron. This is my second one. The first one went bad after a week of use. I contacted the vender and they replaced it very quickly. I really like this iron because it’s temperature control is very accurate and it comes with a wide variety of tips so you can go from soldering micro circuits to soldering #10 wire with no problem. You can’t go wrong with this quality item. I believe the first one was just a fluke that it went bad so quickly but the customer service is amazing.

How hot do you want it?
If your looking for an iron that you can control the heat to a precise setting - this is the one. The variety of sizes that different tasks need is very helpful. I have used the iron primarily on small jobs with complete satisfaction. The less than five stars is due to the iron holder which will tip over very easily - wish it was more stable.

exactly what I needed
This was a great buy. It was within my price range for my first soldering iron since I was a kid, it was easy to use, and it worked great once I got the hang of soldering again. I fixed up some wiring on a motorcycle after swapping out turn signals, and all is well.I have no complaints.

Works well...
Great product and easy to use. The base could be sturdier, but otherwise it’s good to go.
