Fun and cheap decor
Great stuff. I used it for trim on doorbell and garden arches. Wears well.

Excellent product
I used this for a deadhead from this past season. I did three coats, and barely used any. The paint quality, coverage, thickness, and look are really excellent. I decided to use a homemade patina solution; perhaps the paired product would have driven more results but I like how this turned out.

Gorgeous paint
We have a bronze statue in our home who is a part of the staircase and we wanted to gift a replica to the original owners. I had a 3D printer at a smaller scale and needed a bronze like finish. This finish looks gorgeous. It made the sculpture come alive. Instructions indicate you need to mix some patina mix into the second layer to get a green or blue patina. However without it, it still looks fabulous.Update: after a few weeks the bronze weathered into a dark color. It’s a perfect match of the original. Very nice.

Using reactive paint can take some practice and I recommend you read the instructions
I am an interior designer and have used Modern Masters paints repeatedly to customize products including an exterior pendant light, wrought iron table frames, picture frames, a flush mount ceiling fixture and other decorative items. I have purchased the paints locally at a high end paint shop and online through Amazon. My experience is that the paint online at least through this seller is the exact same quality as what I have found locally. The finishes in this series are outstanding. Using reactive paint can take some practice and I recommend you read the instructions, test it out on something you don't care about and then have fun with it. There is not right or wrong way to do this.I had a very pricey pendant light that was a return from a customer that I couldn't return to the vendor. I loved it and wanted to hang it in my own home but without the glass and I wanted the finish to be more rustic. My husband thought I was nuts to take jars of paint to redo this expensive fixture. But the result was outstanding. I used the reactive bronze and the coordinating primer and aging solution on the pendant (image attached) and the iron without the coordinating primer or solution on a wrought iron table that had a gold finish i couldn't stand (image attached). I love both of them better now than I did in the original finish. There are good sources of inspiration online using this paint. Look around. A little of this stuff goes a long way so there is no need to over purchase.

Iron!
Not all of us like orange rust, but most of us like iron. Although Folk Art makes a terrific craft paint called "Wrought Iron," I was curious to try this paint as well, even though I had no intention of rusting it. First thing I noticed when opening the jar is that the smell is incredibly bad, like something that's been in your grandfather's shed for 50 years. The paint is also very thick and lumpy, so I added water. The finish is surprisingly chalk-like, and more of a dark grey than black. Right now Pottery Barn has a lot of items with a zinc finish, and this paint dries very similar to that, so I decided to try my own version. I have a ceramic vase that I like the shape of, but not the finish. I painted two coats with the iron paint. Then I airbrushed it with light grey and white chalk paints, to give it that powdery weathered zinc look. After some sanding with 220 and 400 grit paper, I wiped it down and was pretty impressed. Unless I'm mistaken, the iron paint actually burnishes to a sheen if you sand it. I decided to seal my project with Mod Podge Ultra Matte, and I'm including before and after pictures. The Mod Podge darkened the surface and took away the powdery texture, but it also evened out the finish and provided a layer of protection. I'm still happy with it, but I might not seal the surface next time. Modern Masters might tell you this paint is only designed for rusting, but it's also a great way to turn pretty much anything into iron.

Beautiful copper and patina
I got the copper and the green patina, and painted my fiberglass concrete ish planters that I have indoors. Used a spray bottle and gently misted the copper on the second coat (as instructed) while it was drying. Waited an hour or two and went back over it with the copper on a dry sponge. Perfection!

Amazing!
I tried a LOT of different colors for my front door with “copper” being the goal. Nothing satisfied me. Then, when I found this, I was very hopeful. I am THRILLED with the result! Beautiful, easy to apply, dries well and quickly - highly recommend!
