Generates *lots* of heat on the hot side
I bought a heat sink off of Amazon that said it was for this unit as it matched the 40mmx40mm footprint and had numerous fins (but no fan). However, within about 20 seconds of hooking the Peltier unit to a 12V, 5A power supply, both sides of the Peltier were hot: the "cool" side about 10 degrees F above ambient and I almost burned my hand on the heat sink on the hot side.I found a 10W power supply (12V, 0.85A) and it worked pretty well for my application: it cooled the cool side about 10-15 degrees F below ambient and the passive heat sink mentioned above with a 5V computer case fan managed to keep it at that temp until the ambient got above approximately 105F...then it can't quite move the heat off the hot side fast enough. One thing to correct from other reviews: these Peltiers will *not* work with any voltage below 12V. You can control the amount of cooling they provide on the cool side (and thus the heat they generate on the hot side) by limiting the current (i.e. the number of amps) to the Peltier. If you do more than 10W of power to the Peltier, I'd recommend a computer CPU heat sink with a fan that can provide at least 90W of cooling.

Value compared to other products
One of the modules arrived dead sadly, no point in returning because its unfixable not worth wasting resources during shipping, definitely a good price for the product compared to other listings. Not a 6 AMP Module but I don't mind it was to be expected for the price. I think they meant to list it as 3 amps per module or maybe the modules have to have high performance cooling to achieve such power draw. I was using it too cool down my GPU, RAM & CPU but it damaged my computer parts after realizing that one of the modules was dead. Definitely was fun for my prototype. Learned a lot about Peltier Modules when using in practical application.

Got my woodstove fan up and running.
Years ago these little thermoelectric doohickies were quite a bit of money, but for the price of the HiLetGo's I thought I'd try them for my old Ecofan. Only issue I had was that the 40mm size was a smidge too large and I had to remove some side wings on the unit and also use smaller diameter screws to hold the top assembly to the base. I smoodged a fair bit of thermal paste on both sides and got it assembled and it works which is the main thing. If and when this one dies, I'll look for a slightly smaller unit like the oem. But for now I'm a happy camper.

Waste of time and money, one died after a day.
Originally wrote a review about how these modules fixed both zones in my Ivation IVFWCT181DB wine fridge/cabinet/cooler. I cleaned all four heat sinks (2x hot 2x cold) in both zones with 91% isopropyl alcohol and acetone to get all the old crusty paste off. Then I used genuine Noctua thermal paste on all four mating surfaces and used tiny spatula to put a thin layer on. Spec sheet for the Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste says rated for -50C to 110C so fine for this application. The smaller zone at the top of the fridge only cooled for a day, the bottom zone is still cooling, so 50% failure rate after a day.Several comments on this listing claim these are not 6A units - I ended up getting two TEC1-12706s from Amazon Marketplace vendor Cold & Colder who reviews say are real 6 amp units when connected to a bench power supply.

Functioning Great
I used this to replace the faulty unit on our wine chiller. With just some minor work, the chiller was chilling again.

Work good, wrong size.
I bought this to repair my ooler mattress cooling/warming pad. I found this by matching up the part numbers thinking they'd be a match. My original one is 50mmx50mm, but this is 40mmx40mmx
