Does it work well with ball oilers?

Yes, it seals the inside diameter while forcing oil between the spout and ball. I have several of these for different types of fluid.

Would this be adequate for 3-in-One oil? (The newer plastic bottles are worthless.) I just need it for general lubrication.

What is the deminsions of the spout on this oiler (how thin is it) will be using on industrial sewing machines?

The overall length of the spout is 8.5 inches, including the tip. The diameter of the flexible portion of the spout is .25 inches. The diameter of the tip at the widest part is 5/16". The tip hole opening is .045"

Has the leak issue been fixed that is mentioned in the reviews?

The answer is NO..... I did not realise there was a problem,, I just looked and it leaks... what use is an oil can that leaks?
