Q: Can this be used to gas weld a 304 s/s half coupling to a 316 s/s beer keg and does this solder have a flux core?

I can tell you that this is solid wire solder, no flux included. As to whether you can use it to solder 2 different stainless alloys, I don't know the answer. This solder is designed for copper piping and it works well in that application when used with the proper flux, but I don't know about using it to solder stainless.

Q: Can this be used for joining 1/2" soft Copper water line that will be under a concrete slab?

I use this daily for joining copper lines. It makes an excellent joint. I recomend sleeving your line if it's going to be buried. Also, I use nothing but mapp gas to do all my joints and it provides more than adequate heat to work this solder.

Q: Can this be used for small appliance repair? I.e copper to steel soldering for a/c in a refrigerator.

You should use silver solder on a refrigerator line. Of course the system has to be empty prior to soldering or the heat on refrigerant gas will create phosgene gas, which is toxic to humans.

Q: What flux would you use?

Use a flux that is for potable water systems. This is lead free solder because it is used for potable water.
