After upgrading from a basic but modified DeLonghi KG79 the difference is incredible. I can see how well it grinds everything with fewer fines and boulders, and less clumping. My shots are getting great flavour with less bitterness.

Superb quality grind, responsive to adjustment and very repeatable grind weight based on time preset. Superb grinder but expensive.

There are better, higher quality, sturdier grinders out there for this price point, ones that aren't 98% plastic, including a gearbox assembly that'll give you trouble after short uses.

i received this with one small piece that locks into the hopper broken. It did not make any difference to the way the hopper fitted or the grinder functions. if not for that, i would give 5 stars the grinder itself is awesome. moving to this, you can see the difference in the coffee immediately. alot more consistent. no spluttering while pulling a shot. smooth every time. the coffee tastes great every time consistently.

Is it loud? yes Is it creating a mess if you put just the portafilter underneath it? Yes, the coffee goes all over the counter. But still worth it for the quality of coffee ground it produces, the level of control, the retention etc. You just need to tweek your workflow a bit. (For example I ground on the larger filter container it comes with)

... nach einem Jahr Nutzung mit zirka 1.000 Espressos/Cafés kann ich bislang nichts Negatives verkünden. Das Design ist gut gemacht und sorgt für ein geringes Zurückbleiben von (Kaffee-)Mahlresten. Die Maschine macht klaglos einen guten Job und die Einstellmöglichkeiten sind hervorragend. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es, weil der Filteraufsatz eher ein Verbrauchsartikel ist, denn bei häufiger Benutzung der Verschlußmöglichkeit bricht der (Metall-)"Umschalter" leicht aus der Kunststoffverankerung. Und das ist auch der größte Mangel an der "Handwerkskunst in jedem Mahlgrad" - Kunststoff soweit das Auge reicht.
