12V Digital Solar Tracker Control Board MK3.1

works pretty good. Been using them for about 2 years. The mechanicals of my tracking system is still a work in progress but the functionality of these tracking boards is very good.One thing to note, you definitely need the manual movement switches included in the manual. The horizontal works really good and returns to morning position. But the vertical has trouble sometimes returning back to fully vertical to prep for morning sun. It will go horizontal at night sometimes. So you need to manually move it back to vertical or you'll miss early morning sun.

Very robust dependable solar tracker. I tried the analog version and it never functioned properly- the digital version is a huge improvement. Worked right out of the box. I had a few questions for the vendor and they provided same day response. Highly recommended!

I needed something that would allow me to track the sun for a solar oven. This little guy works great and I'm very impressed with it.I put it in a small case and cut out slots for the sensor heads. It seemed to get a little hot in the sun so I adapted a small cooling fan powered by a solar panel to help cool it. A battery source is recommend for it since it will detect a "brown out" state and shut down if the supply voltage drops too low. Small solar panels will not provide enough juice to drive the motor and board at the same time so I recharge the batteries with a solar panel.One nice aspect of this board is that it has a rather wide voltage tolerance of 8V - 18V. The connections are very simple. It can even go in park mode to align to the morning sun, but I don't think I'll be using that function for my oven.Support from their website has a very quick response.

I had a different tracker before but it was destroyed in a wind accident while working out the mounting for my solar array. I didn't like that one because the loop response was too quick causing it to constantly make little adjustments to the array. This one works well with very little hunting but at a cost. It is slow to respond and I can see the sun is past perpendicular when it finally moves the array. Not a big deal, still within the acceptance angle for the panels.

Followed the instructions line by line.Does not work at all.Highly disappointed.

So far the device is working as advertised. Without the instructions however I would have never been able to make it work. Please post a PDF of the Mark 3.2.1 Digital Solar Tracker Instructions and Notes. My new puppy ate them.

Works great. The LED lights are very helpful and I am glad for the fuse! The base of the companion glass cover is 3D printed and a little rough - had to work over the slot for the board to get it to fit and then was a little loose. I like it and will be getting another.

This one didn't blow up ... Just failed to function at all ... more than a little irritating.
