It is a RAIN BARREL!
It's black and it's a barrel and it is cool. The flat back shape is perfect for setting the barrel against your house. If you want to add chlorine tablets you will have to unscrew the screen because this is the only access. The price is fair. I went without the stand but did purchase the hose to save on costs. It is easy to devise a stand. The hose is good quality also. It has obvious use for gardening and for emergency water applications. All in all, I would recommend.

Very well put together rain barrel.
Got this for my father and he absolutely loves it. It is flat on the back so you can put it against a wall or a deck flush (he's a construction guy, so he loves being able to do that). Filled right up on our first desert monsoon rain and he has been using it to water his grapes and garden area. Very well made, and it's a plus to have all the fittings pre-drilled and working. You don't need a pump for this, you can attach a hose right on the bottom of the barrel, or open it up and let the water out from the bottom. My father put it up on cinder blocks so he could get a bucket or a watering can underneath the spigot with ease. Plus, it looks like a whiskey barrel, very pretty in the yard. These cost twice as much in the garden store, and the ones in the garden store are not 55 gallons like this one, the capacity is much smaller.

Ordered 3...
I ordered 3 to replace the 50 gallon trash cans I modified and all ended up splitting. The faucets are cheap, but so far are working just fine. I do have a leak on one of the 3 faucet seals. I keep a bucket tucked up under it to catch the drip. It's about a quart a day or so but it actually seems like it's finally clogging up as it seems to be leaking less now. The tops of 2 are buckled w/ one deforming to my favor as it makes a sort of sink that I can pour left over water into quickly and easily without running over the sides if I pour too quickly. All 3 are connected at the top as an over-flow to the one in front of it. My first is an 80 gallon reservoir that spill down into the first of these three. No leaks have been found between these top connections so far. Oh, I have these sitting on 2 cinder blocks so that I can put my watering cans and buckets under the faucet. I have not tried connecting a short hose but would not count on a hose working very well if you thought you might stretch one out to your beds.

Great for watering the garden
If you can harvest water, these are great. I have several that I use to water my garden every year.

These are great
These work great for capturing rain water. We ordered two and they were easy to install. The color and height were spot on as well so they look great attached to your house, shop, or barn. NOTE: We did drain and disconnect them for the winter as we live in the Midwest.

Run water in in first to make sure it does not have any leaks.
It's supposed to be a good idea product but mines hold no water and it leaks through the side. It's plastic so I don't know why it should leak

IT’S OKAY
PURCHASE DATE: 01SEP16 PRICE PAID: $62.32 REVIEW DATE: 17MAY17 I ordered this rain barrel to place near my plants to water them. I live in the Midwest so I waited to write this review to make sure it can withstand the winter, snow, and ice. It has been 8 months since purchase so here it is. Keep in mind prior to installing: Check what gutters on your home expel the most water. If you have one that expels a lot of water I would recommend a second and/or even a third barrel because they can fill very quickly. I say this because when the barrel fills the overflow spills the excess water out, splashes all over the front, and can cause a puddle of water. I wish this barrel had an overflow connector to add a hose so that I can run the excess water farther from my home. The barrel came with a plastic spigot and a plastic screen for the top. I went and cut my gutter shorter so there was minimal splash when the water came out of the gutter end. I noticed the water would come out of the gutter end rapidly and would go over the edges. At the time it looked more like a water fountain feature then rain barrel because so much water was coming over the top and edges. I placed a rock in front of the gutter end (pictures shown) and it solved the problem. The top plastic screen did not come with pre-drilled holes to secure it to the barrel. I purchased some short and wide stainless steel screws and did it myself. The back of the barrel does bow outward when it’s filled with water. I placed the barrel a few inches away from the wall and at an angle (pictures shown). I would have liked it flush against the wall but could not. I became bummed after using it for the first time because while the plastic spigot does not leak it has a very slow water pressure if you attach a hose to the spigot. You need to place this barrel high off the ground so the water coming out has some movement. I have mine now approximately 6 inches off the ground and still very slow water pressure. I instead now just fill a watering can and do it that way which is a pain. I also DO NOT recommend you purchase the plastic stands for your barrel. Add some flat stone, cement, cinder-blocks, etc. but not the plastic ones. A friend of mine had one but due to the weight of the barrel filled with water and heat it caved. During the winter: I did not want to uninstall the barrel prior to the winter to then re-install it in spring. I opened the spigot all the way so that any water can come out before any freezing. I tested it now during spring time and still works with no cracks or leaks. PLEASE NOTE: I do these reviews to help people out. This review is my honest opinion after doing much research and purchasing this product for personal use. Prior to purchasing any product I conduct thorough research, test the item, and take photographs prior to posting a review. THANK YOU!

Looks great too
I recently installed a 50-gallon rain barrel in my backyard, and I couldn't be happier with the results! This rain barrel is a game-changer for sustainable water conservation. It effortlessly collects rainwater from my gutters, providing me with a free and abundant water source for my garden and landscaping needs. The large capacity means I can store plenty of water to keep my plants hydrated during dry spells, reducing my reliance on municipal water supplies and saving money on my water bill. I appreciate the durable construction and user-friendly design of this rain barrel – the sturdy materials ensure it withstands the elements, while the convenient spigot makes it easy to access water whenever I need it. Plus, the sleek design blends seamlessly into my outdoor space, adding both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Installing a 50-gallon rain barrel has been one of the best investments I've made for my home and garden. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to conserve water and reduce their environmental impact

The seams are messy but as long as they hold, then this is good. At first I thought the top came dented but soon realized what a dummy I am because the "dent" was on purpose so the rain water leads into the vented hole lol. Good for the price and looks nicer than a regular plastic barrel and fits nicely against a building. Prices for nice barrels like this one in the stores tend to be much higher so I give this 5 stars.

Très bien! La qualité du plastique pourrait être légèrement meilleur à mon avis, mais c'est un super produit.

The first one that I bought lasted three years, no issues and then the third winter I stored outside and even though I had the valve open water filled up inside froze and split the side. I bought two more and won’t leave it outside exposed in the winter again.
