I want to give four stars but...
I’m still annoyed with this author’s over used murder mystery plot line. Can’t she think of any other conflict than attempted murder?! I am beyond sick of it.Having said that, I loved this story and it’s two MC’s. I loved that they had gotten to know each other before it was even a thought that they were going to marry. I laughed when Kade said “aye, I’ll take her”, like she’s a car when he realized she had more fire in her spirit than he’d originally thought. Lol. As insulting as that line is to a feminist like myself it was really too cute not to like it. Lol. I loved there dynamic with each other as they met each other and then after they married the discovery of their passion together. It was a sweet mildly funny read. This author nearly always writes fantastic female characters with high intelligence and ingenuity. If anything she writes the men as eye candy but complete idiots in this series and the women should be ruling the world lol. My only other complaint is that it ended so abruptly. I was hoping for an epilogue with her being pregnant with the next heroic heroine! Lol. But it didn’t, so I’m annoyed. I did really like this book but that major irritation of her constantly using a murder plot as the conflict of her stories has really gotten to me and I can’t be blind to it anymore. So three stars is as good as I can give it for lacking true originality or creativity.

Lynsay Sands an extraordinary writer. She weaves her stories with magic and then remembers past loved characters. She is right up there with Johanna Lindsey and Julie Garwood when it comes to these type of formats. I will purchase them every time I find one. I discovered her last year and already have all her books. I have bought all hardback when I can. I love the large print ones the best as my library is extensive to these writers and my books are for keeps. Hard back books last longer. Thanks Ms. Sands. Exceptional. D'Nanna -

Enjoyable and Entertaining
After reading Taming the Highland Bride, I was eager to start the next in the series, The Hellion and the Highlander. While this was a very entertaining and enjoyable read, it was similar to the previous book in that both had an attempted murder mystery of the main male character. I found this a little disappointing in that it mirrors the previous book a little too much. That being said, I did love the characters in this story. Averill had a great deal of depth of character. Her being a redhead with a strawberry birthmark on her face and a stammer branded her as less desirable and made it difficult for her father to find her a husband. Despite these difficulties, she remains intelligent, spirited and appealing. All it takes is her brothers friend Kade to arrive on the scene injured and unable to see for a connection to grow between them. It was fun to go on the journey to love with them with part humor and part intrigue. Lots of passion too. Lyndsay Sands is a talented writer that brings her stories to life with great dialogue, great chemistry, intriguing plot lines and interesting characters.

Fun from start to finish!
Thoroughly enjoyed this book! The heroine is the kind of girls you want to have for a friend. And the heroes the kind of guy you want to believe exist. Reading this book takes you on a vacation that has you giggling over a comical antic while making your mind work as you figure out who the the bad guy is. Lynsay Sands does a great job both. And I commend you proof reader! That's a sign of respect to your reader as well. Thank you for an entertaining read

The Hellion and the Highlander
Another good book thought I find she uses some of the same things in her books. I also find in some her her books one of the 2 main characters is hurt over and over, and wonder sometimes how they make it through the book. In this third book of the series, besides being humorous, I found myself almost embarrassed for Averill in her inadequate attempts to please her husband. However Kade handles it pretty well. He should just tell her himself what he wants. The characters are pretty good. Sometimes I find Averill also childish, but still likeable. Kade is the typical hero. Strong and slient, yet still has a kind heart.I would have also liked her to have included Kade and Merry's reunion in the book, though it was not necessary. All in all I liked the book. It had its humorous parts just like her other books.Evelinde and Cullen make a brief appearance in this book as well. They also briefly mention Travis. I would like Travis to have his own book. It is obvious in this book that he has changed after everything that happened in the first book. However if you give Travis a book, you could also include a book for Will. Of course he would have to have a Scottish bride to make the Highland series.

Oh my goodness
What a book!! I absolutely loved it. Lynsey Sands has a hilarious sense of humor and intimacy between husband & wife. Wedding night in this book was so funny & a few days later. So good.

Not good
I have just finished one book in this series and ordered this one and it is like a copy of the first book.I am very disappointed that Lyndsay Sands resorts to churning out the same story with just a few tweaks to it.Terrible for such a well known author...

Funny
Made me laugh as all of Lynsay Sands books do, slightly less enjoyable than her previous books that I have read as seemed to start slowly but then speeded up and finished well. Liked the heroine and hero but again not quite as much as I have with previous books. In spite of this well worth the read and on the whole funny and enjoyable.
