Q: This model says 18000 lumens and 200 watt output. others this size are around 9800 lumens. is the drl the extra lumens?

I can't answer the Lumens question, but can say the DRLs aren't included in the Lumen measurement. The system contains 40, 5 watt LEDs, which equals 200 watts when turned on. The DRLs don't even count in the 200 watt metric. Also, out of the box, the switch doesn't allow the DRLs and the light bar to be turned on at the same time, its one or the other at any given time. I can say the light bar is very bright for a 20 Inch. Your 9800 lumens number probably comes from Light Bars that have 3 watt LEDs in them. -thx
