roadster 2 PIECE RESPIRATOR AND GOGGLES SET

When I first put on the mask it felt uncomfortable and I said rubbish and nearly binned it but now I use it all the time I have got used to it. 5 stars because the price makes it great value for money. My previous much more expensive respirator had one air intake pointing forwards straight into the dust and I was forever cleaning it mid job. Two side pointing ones are the way to go and I have never had to stop mid job with it. One other point the elastic straps are not the best and soon need replacing I always use rubber cut from of an old bicycle inner tube,

I bought this on the basis of three good reviews. I received an item looking as per the picture. At first sight it seemed to be of poor quality design and manufacture. When I tried it on, it was even worse than it looked.The respirator is made of quite hard thin polythene, Its face aperture is about 80% of the area of the excellent 3M respirator  3M 4251 Maintenance Free Reusable Half Mask FFA1P2RD -Single respirator , and there was no way I could get it to seal on my face. It was supplied with an elasticted strip of dishcloth material sitting around the edge of the face aperture, which presumably is meant to be used as a gasket between the respirator and the face, but there is nothing to hold the strip of cloth in place. The result is that you breathe in through the leaky (lack of) seal rather than through the respirator filters. Also the respirator elastic is way too short to fit without stretching really tight, so the thing is amazingly uncomfortable.The safety goggles are flimsy and a bit mis-shapen, made out of the same thin polythene, and their transparent lens is a sheet of extremely thin clear plastic (think supermarket still mineral water bottle). It claims to be for use when painting, sanding, installing drywall, but there is nothing to claim that it has been tested in any way to conform with any European/UK safety standard.Beware, unless you a buying for children's fancy dress. I see the 'Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought' list was topped by 'BALD HEAD WIG Latex Cap Dr Evil Clown Kojak Fancy Dress', which says it all.

The material around the mask broke of after one time of putting it on and off. Great mask if the material would stay put and was more comfortable. Can breath well through it. But not happy it broke so soon, didnt get to use it.
