Snow Joe SJ621-RM Electric Single Stage Snow Thrower , 18-Inch , 13.5 Amp Motor , Headlights (Renewed)

This is a powerful electric snowblower that is easy to handle. I have a gas two stage snowblower that I will use for large snowfall, however this is much easier to use for lighter duty jobs. Easily maneuverable and you don't have to be strong to be able to use it. Strong 13.5 amp motor powers through most of the snow that I get. It is also nice that it has a head light so you can see where you are clearing. This makes a perfect companion to a large heavy gas two stage snowblower.

I haven't got to use it yet but I have tested it and runs smoothly. Assembly was easy, two year warranty gives peace of mind. Be sure to get a quality 12/3 extension cord. Seems to be plenty powerful for 6-8 snow removal. I will update once I have used it. Though I wouldn't be sad if I never have to use it 😁

Had a few issues with missing some handle bolts. Sno joe reps sent immediately. Then the attatchment nut that directs the shute broke. This was while assembling. I did get a refurbished one so..... BUT ALL GOOD TO GO!!!! I LOVE IT Ive had a couple neck surgeries and needed a light easy to use machine. And this guy is it!!! Has headlight price was Great.

I received no hardware with my Snow Joe. I cannot put it together without any Tbolts. Very difficult to assemble and maneuver in its current state.

Powerful,sturdy, item even though it is relatively lightweight. It arrived well packaged. It has clear instructions and of course started right up after our first snow storm. I live in the mountains of NH. ( and my plow guy quit) so needed this item badly. Problem, The wheels packed with snow between the plastic wheels and between the wheels and machine. Nothing turned. It felt like pushing a 2x4 uphill against the snow? Major problem for me. I LOVE the power of the machine and it does throw the snow. It is a great size for my two car short driveway. I plan to contact the company and see if there is a solution. Yesterday I compared the snowjoe to a honda gas snow blower prices at over 500$. MY 13.5 amp. was equal in design and size, so I am pleased with my purchase. Unhappy about the wheel situation and hope to ? perhaps replace the wheels if company recommends and is helpful. Let's be honest, Joe himself could not throw snow any better. This is probably the most powerful electric blower you can buy, works great up to about 10". Highly recommend you get the one with the headlight for those night time snows. If it's not enough for you, you need a big boy gas model. Ideal driveway in my opinion would be suburban 2-3 car no more.

Works well for close quarters where my bigger unit can not get to. Saves shoveling time for sidewalks, and decks.

This little gem arrived in the nick of time as we had a foot of snow drop on us in about eight hours. Worked great.

This little snowblower does a good job clearing light-to-moderate snow up to about 25cm deep. It clears almost to bare pavement, throws a reasonable distance and takes very little effort to push through un-packed snow. Since I live in an area that only gets a few moderate snowfalls (15-20cm) each season as well as a number of lighter falls I couldn't really justify the expense of a larger 2-stage machine but this one does the job well. It takes a bit more time and effort to work it's was through packed show like that left by the plow. The only indication I had that this was a refurb unit was that it didn't come in the factory packaging. Otherwise it looks and runs like factory new. You also need to remember that unless you already have one you'll need to pick up a heavy-duty outdoor winter extension cord (14-guage up to 50 feet or 12-guage for 50-100 feet) and these can be a little pricey. I found a good 100-footer here on Amazon for around $70 so I have no problems reaching my entire walkway, driveway and out onto the street a bit.

Although reconditioned you would never know it. It looked brand new out of the box and arrived very quickly. It was easy to set up, and this snow blower is much more powerful than I expected. Our snow is usually very cold and light and the blower handles even quite deep drifts very well. It is light to use and if you get to the snow before the bottom starts to ice it cleans right down to the pavement very well. Being electric you do have a cord to get used to, but once you figure out the best way to do that everything goes well. The cord for this blower has to be quite heavy to handle the 13.5 amps and even the supposedly flexible cords are not brilliant when the temperature drops to minus 25 and below. But that is a minor problem when you only have to plug in and push the switch to operate the machine. Beats gas, oil and spark plugs any day in my book!

Met and exceeded my expectations. In light of the quantity of snow we have received this year before New Year's Day, I am very happy to have this snow-thrower to help clear my walk and up to where my contractor cleans my driveway. Very powerful and efficient. Just make sure you purchase a strong extension cord. Great buy. GreatwhiteNorthGuyEH!

It is a nice compact unit but it does not throw snow in any meaningful way. I really hoped it would have done a better job. I wasn't looking for a powerhouse but this Snow Joe is flat out inadequate. I wasted my money.
