Looks and feels solid, probably will last awhile (I hope). I am new to this type of lock so I didnt expect the key to be a combination rather than permutation; ie, order does not matter. For ex, 1234 is the same as 4321 and same as 1423, etc. Also, a number cannot be used twice. For ex, you can't set 1225 or 2024. If you are okay with that then this lock is the right choice for you.

These are tricky to out together the first time but after that its a piece of cake. Ingeniously designed with high quality material, it has everything necessary to accommodate various gate thicknesses. The customer service was amazing. I had an issue and when I called Sumo they answered and walked me through the problem right on the phone. I’m a contractor and the best combo lock for gates that I’ve ever worked with.

This lock-set fit the demands required for access control to our institutional fishpond garden. We purchased the twin keypad model, and the key likes are: 1) either side (or both) can be programmed for pass-through mode, and 2) it has a key cylinder which can secure the gate in a locked position regardless of number code entry. It seems to be fairly stout, but it's been less than a week, so I cannot comment about that or its' service life. Two of these were purchased, and I should admit that the second installation went faster than the first as it had a slight learning curve. It is an overall well thought out and designed piece of hardware, but I knocked off one star simply because of the cost.

I got this for a customer and they were very happy with it. I had no problem installing them and it looked good. I have not had any complaints from customer so I guess all is good.

The biggest problem is the handles, there made of cast metal and held in place with small set screws that slip and then causes the handle to move out of place, this issue needs to be upgraded. also there are a lot of plastic parts, so its waaaaay overpriced and of course its also from china, after using it now for 3 years I Just can't say that I would ever buy another one.

This lock is sturdy and exactly what I was looking for- secured entrance to a backyard shared by my and another family. It took about 3 hours of a professional handyman’s time to decipher the instructions and install. Past that, he and I both agree that the lock is extremely sturdy and worth the cost.

My maintenance couldn't make this version work with our pool gate. He tells me it's not interchangeable because of the latch assembly. Our gate pulls to me but opening is on the right, hinges on left.
