Good quality and good reception.
Love the quality of this antenna. It's much better than a diamond I had. Great reception too.

Quality product
Absolutely superb high-quality could not believe the fit and finish and low price of this product. I would recommend us to anybody, especially since it’s half the price of the fancy ones.

Excellent value, sturdy, high SWR on 6m and 70cm though
Just put this up with the primary use of amateur 2m, 70cm and occasional 10m and 6m use, and primarily 2m. It's not good for TX on all of those though. I tuned it while still on the roof, using a nanoVNA. 10m - min SWR about 1.4:1 at 28.300 MHz with adjustable sections (at end of each of the extended radials with coils) pushed all the way in. I first tried it without the small sections at all, and it was resonant around 30 MHz. Nice that this antenna can be tuned for not only CB as advertised. 6m - high SWR, and probably nothing I'm going to be able to address with a tuner. That's ok, I have another antenna for the band. 2m - min SWR in the area is about 1.4:1 at 135 MHz and it's part of a resonant range up through 165 MHz or so.. In the 2m band the SWR is around 1.8-2.0:1. Not great but it'll work. 70cm - high SWR like 6m, won't be able to use it to TX on this band. I expected it to have low SWR at least here and up through 1200 MHz (didn't check). If I replace the antenna with a 2m/70cm dual-bander, that'll be the reason. Last, the vertical element has any effect only on 10m. I also tried removing it when testing the other bands. If I wasn't intending to at least occasionally use this antenna on 10m, I instead recommend the 1410 (which I also bought) for a bit a less, as it should work the same on the higher bands. Build-wise it's sturdy and as good or better quality than any other commericail discone I've seen and easily went together. Time will tell how it lasts outdoors.

Great scanner antenna for SDR
Easy to assemble and works great for SDR scanner. Be sure to check connections and order adapters and cables as required.

Totally impressed with this little antenna
Tram makes two discones. The 1411 has a whip and two longer radials and the 1410 doesn't have a whip and has radials all the same size. Which do you choose? As you can see by the photos, I have both. I chose the 1410 over the 1411 because it doesn't have a whip on it which would detune the antenna above it due to overlap. I am using it with a Uniden SDS100 scanner and am picking up airport AM traffic, my local trunked transit system, 700mHz APCO trunked law enforcement and UHF/VHF emergency response. I also have used it to transmit on 2m and 70cm. The antenna is a bargain compared to others of its type, which makes it even more impressive. My 1411 is on the opposite side of the house and is used for transmit from a ham HT. Why on the opposite side of the house? There are cases when I need to either use my radios as a repeater or transmit on two close frequencies at the same time. A whip on a discone offers much better SWR than no whip which is why I am using the one with a whip for transmit and the one without a whip for my scanner. So there you have it. Two fine antennas each with their own use. This antenna uses set screws to mount on the TOP of a 1"-1.5" mast with the cable threaded through the center of the mast. With little weight or wind resistance, I decided to mount it to the side of my existing mast about a meter under my Diamond 2M antenna by using a Winegard DS-2000 Universal 22-inch Tower Mount with half of a 5' mast inserted into the Winegard pipe and secured using a rubber plumbing reducer wrapped with gobs of Proxicast Pro-Grade Extra Strong 30mil Weatherproof Self-Fusing Silicone Rubber tape.

BEST SCANNER ANTENNA I EVER HAD!!
Amazing! I have a Uniden BCD536HP. This antenna picks up stuff and everything else. And talk about long distance.. I live next to Kings Mountain NC in between mountains. Picks up all airports and planes as clear as can be from Charlotte, Atlanta, Tennessee, to VA! Don't ask how! lol. Truckers on CB, Ham, GMRS, cops and so much more never stops. I did have it about 10' up and moved it to 20' today. Now pick up Florida airport! Crazy huh? And I live in a low spot out here in the boonies. Lots of times I have two ask Alexa where is "sos" at as I don't regonize the county or anything. Will be 80 or farther miles from here! Best scanner antenna I ever had. I use it with RG8X 50'. Get one you won't regret it!

I was chuffed to bits to receive the Tram 1410 Broad-Band Scanner Antenna through Amazon Vine, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my scanning setup! Designed for wideband reception from 25 MHz to 1,300 MHz, this stainless steel discone antenna is a solid choice for anyone using a scanner like the Uniden UBC125XLT for listening purposes. Right from unboxing, the quality stood out. The rust-free stainless steel build feels robust, and the main hub – possibly brass or bronze with a chunky chrome finish – screams durability. It’s about 3 feet tall and 3 feet wide at the base, with eight 32-inch lower radials and eight 10.5-inch upper radials. Assembly was a breeze; I hand-tightened the radials, gave the lock nuts a quick nip with a 9/32 wrench, and mounted it on a 10-foot pole using the included Allen screws. A quick tip: a dab of dielectric grease on the threads will help keep it weatherproof. I’ve paired this with my Uniden UBC125XLT scanner using 50 feet of RG8X coax, mounted about 20 feet up in a rural area surrounded by hills. The reception is absolutely cracking! I’m picking up all sorts of signals with crystal-clear quality – CB radio, ham radio, Marine, and even air traffic from local airports. The wideband coverage is brilliant for VHF/UHF, pulling in frequencies I’d struggled to hear before. It’s not designed for low-band HF/MW, so don’t expect it to shine there, but for general scanning, it’s spot-on. Since I’m using the UBC125XLT for listening only, I haven’t tested the antenna’s 200-watt transmit capability, but it’s good to know it’s there for those who need it. The antenna’s performance is tailored for receiving across a massive frequency range, and it delivers in spades. I’ve noticed a significant boost in signal clarity and range compared to my old whip antenna, especially on weaker signals. One slight downside is the mounting setup. You’ll need a 1-1/4 to 1-3/8 inch mast (not included), and running the coax inside the pole can be a bit fiddly. Also, weather-sealing the connector is a tad awkward as it’s tucked inside the hub – a bit of silicone sealant or Noalox should do the trick. Some reviews compare it to pricier Diamond discones, but for the cost. In short, the Tram 1410 is a top-notch choice for scanner enthusiasts looking to boost their reception. It’s sturdy, easy to set up, and pulls in signals like a dream. If you’re using a scanner like the UBC125XLT for listening, this antenna will take your setup to the next level. Highly recommended!
