Islander 4-String Ukulele (SAS-4)

This ukulele is my first soprano, and so glad I chose this one! The wider fret spacing makes it a joy for adult sized fingers to play. The solid acacia wood is lovely and the satin finish is flawless. My husband heard me trying it out, smiled and said "what a happy sound!" The only thing that would improve the purchase would have been an included gig bag, but with so many to choose from, perhaps it's nice that I get to pick my own :)

I love my new soprano ukulele by Islander! I have always played on a tenor, but made the switch to a soprano and I think I’m here to stay. For those who don’t know, Kanile’a is a well trusted ukulele brand and Islander is their affordable line. This sas-4 style is made of solid acacia wood and sounds beautiful! The tuners are open gear (combo silver and gold) which helps make the headstock lighter weight. The edges of the body are lined with a black and cream herringbone purfling, which looks so nice next to the wood. I purchased mine off of reverb.com because it was at a lower price there. I bought my daughter a different soprano ukulele at the same time (some unknown brand) and can absolutely 100% tell the difference in tone and sustain. This little Islander is a quality ukulele!!
