Great for shoe repairs!
Bought this product to repair the heels of a favourite pair of shoes. The shoes are a sort of ‘off’ cream colour. The cream colour supplied wasn’t an exact match, so a bit of experimentation was required mixing the colours to get a good match. Worked like a dream! Now I’m going through the rest of my shoes repairing scuffed heels! Great product, very easy to use. Would recommend for shoe heel repairs.

What a remarkable product!
What a remarkable product. I wish I’d discovered this earlier. I was sceptical but given the cost of reupholstering a leather sofa I decided to try it.It needs patience and attention to detail but I got a very pleasing result. I feel that gradually building thin layers is the key to success, which also lets you get more skilled at colour matching. I’ve fixed a couple of small holes and restored the smooth finish to an eroded area of a handspan and a half. Additionally used other colours to fix a leatherette reclining chair which had peeled on the edges. It’s a shame that it’s not possible to buy individual colours to replenish the set, but I thoroughly recommend this product if you are prepared to put the effort into getting a good result.

Good - should have ordered a bigger one
Really good but I should have ordered just the red as I’m left with a bunch of colours I don’t need and it’s only a little bit when I needed more. Good value. Speedy delivery. I’m going to order the same brand but bigger hopefully In a jar.

Exceeded expectations
This product is far better than I imagined. I bought a cheap leather chair covered in cat scratches and ordered this product after a failed attempt at buying an off the peg colour. The instructions were great.for mixing colours but it does dry a bit darker. I botched it a bit and I used a cotton bud with a bit of alcohol on it to carefully remove what I’d done. Having achieved the perfect colour my chair now looks fantastic! All the scratches are smooth and filled and the chair is evenly coloured. The shine was fractionally off so I used a leather balm on the chair the next day. The effort I expended on this project was laughably small considering the end result. Very pleased.

Goos at filling
This product was great for repairing the cracks on the leather, but almost impossible to mix the correct colour. (Wild cherry). It is quite wasteful, as so many tubes in different colours are included, most of which are not needed. Fortunately for me, I was able to buy a dye in the correct colour to paint over the top, for a perfect match

Serves its purpose
This product really did its job. I asked Coconix for some advice, initially, regarding which of their kits would suit my repair tasks. They not only recommended which kit to buy but offered extensive advice on how to approach the two repair jobs that I bought the kit for.My first repair was a split in my leather car seat. It was during this task that I learned that the phrase "be patient" (in the instructions) needs to be taken seriously if you want to get a good finish. Really, take your time mixing the correct shade of repair compound. You'll be glad that you spent the time when you see the finished result. The clear mixing pot is ideal for this. I found repairing the split in my leather seat a bit fiddly and over applied the compound. But it's easy to remove from the repair site using isopropyl. After it dried the adhesion between the two sides of the split was firm. But my repair was slightly recessed into the surface of the leather, so it looked a bit like a scar. I found that applying tiny amounts with a toothpick to fill the recess was much easier than using the brush and gave more control over where the compound ended up in the repair site and the quantities applied. Once the repair site was level with the rest of the leather surface the repair was as near to invisible as it could be.My other repair was much easier - just recolouring a faded patch on a leather armchair. If you do recolouring repairs the results are better if you don't "paint" the compound onto the leather with the brush: it literally ends up looking like a painted patch of compound and if your leather has any texture on its surface you may lose it. Rather than using brush strokes, you get a better result using a stippling technique with your brush. This method only applies a small amount of the compound onto the repair site and the brush tips force it down into the texture of the leather. The result is no raised, dried areas of compound on the leather surface and you retain the natural texture of the leather. This stuff's great.

First class product and company.
I didn't need help, but telephone/email help is available. The product is very very good, and a first rate business in my opinion. Take care with the colour matching. A second opinion is a good idea. Otherwise an easy job.
