Carhartt water resistant solution!
Okay. My experiment seems to have worked. I washed my Carhartt jacket with cordura nylon in it with tech wash, then NikWax Cotton Proof...and then used this after completely drying the cotton proof in the dryer.I used the entire bottle, applying liberally on every surface until it appeared saturated. I then hung the jacket outside briefly (for about 8-10 minutes) to let the treatment truly soak INTO the fibers of the jacket. Once it stopped dripping, I put it into the dryer on LOW HEAT and ran a 60 minute cycle. Then I ran another 45 minute cycle because it was still wet.The jacket is NEVER going to be waterPROOF. It's not Arteryx Alpha AR (2015 model). However, it is no longer a rain sponge and light rain beads up immediately and, if left to sit, only slowly begins to soak-into the fabric (yet also dries very quickly). Haven't tested breathability, but this isn't wax, so I'm sure it's intact.I'm very pleased. However, plan on using the entire bottle. I had none left over after treating my XXL jacket.

The sprays made by Gear-Aid iperform much better and they are made in the US
Don't bother with this stuff. Washed my Kjus ski jacket (used one season only) and applied this product as per the instructions. After the jacket and applied spray air dried I applied a few drops of water to the jacket fabric and it beaded up for a few seconds and then soaked into the fabric. This stuff is pure junk and I will never buy again! The sprays made by Gear-Aid perform much better and they are made in the US.

Waterproof everthing lol.
I got this to help the water resistance of my camping pack and it worked admirably. I tested how much it took to saturate the material ahead of time and then after I put it on and it really gave me the confidence that but will handle moderate rain for a good while. Also worked on my slip on camp shoes.

Waterproof Ireland Map
This is a great map that comes with a waterproof coating. Since it rains a lot in Ireland, it’s the perfect map for traveling. It folds up nicely and you can just wipe it down if it gets wet. I highly recommend.

Don't know if I can recommend this product
This product does work. I bought a pair of Sessions snowboarding pants used who's outer material is polyester. It actually seems more like a regular pair of cloth pants than the other snow pants I have (like my North Face pants that really feel more plasticy and you have no doubt about it's DWR). Anyway, the repellancy was essentially non existent, especially after I scrubbed out dirt stains.I bought the Grangers Performance Repel, washed the pants with Atsko sport-wash and rinsed (technically, I rinsed a couple of times because I wanted to see if the sport-wash+dryer would restore the DWR on its own [it didn't], so I clear-water washed the pants again to get them damp). I applied the Grangers to the pants - it took basically the whole 9.3 oz bottle for my women's small pants (I felt no need to be conservative since I could tell I would get close to using it up, so why leave an ounce behind that I couldn't use for anything else), waited and wiped off any pool-ed product with a damp cloth, then tumble dried my pants (I did medium, since medium previously did no harm to my pants). To test it out, I was able to pour half a cup of water on them, and the water completely, and impressively rolled right off - Yeah! The reason I say I don't know if I can recommend it is - as many before me have mentioned - is that it clogs up the spray nozzle. In fact, the one I received was clogged from the get go - I couldn't squeeze it at all. I used the spray nozzle I had from a dollar store spray bottle instead, and that worked - for a couple of sprays. Clogged again! Cleaned out the nozzle, sprayed, clogged again! Repeat. So it ended up taking me about 20-30 minutes to spray out an entire bottle - frustrating!BTW - the dollar store bottle spray nozzle was the type where you can adjust the spray/stream by screwing tight or loose the front piece, to the point where the whole thing can come off. That was important because it allows you to completely remove the pieces for cleaning. The type that comes with the Grangers bottle is the type where you are at Spray/Off/Stream/Off, and it isn't clear to me that the front comes off without prying (and that would be more of a pain to be doing every 5 sprays, than just screwing off the front).Maybe if there were a way of painting it on, that would have been faster??

Just what I wanted. Great DWR coating.
Used this on my Arc'teryx Atom Lt and various other sensitive outdoor gear that previously had a DWR coating. I followed the directions on package- washing with Granger's Performance wash before application. Worked great! Rain drops just beaded up as if the jacket were new.Yes, it is pricey; but, it works and gives you the ease of mind that it won't damage the performance of your gear. Look for it to go on sale, by in bulk, or as a combo to save money.I would purchase this again and I do recommend its use.

Does a good job of renewing DR coating on gore-tex jackets
It renews the "beading" effect on the outside of my goretex parkas. Just spray it on after washing and pop it in the dryer.
