Perfect upgrade
I’m no mechanic but I am god with my hands. This product took a little bit of time to connect into my truck, and I did have to hit the auto store to buy a fitting to make it work, but overall it was an easy install for me and I love the sound it gives me. It feels like it has a little more power and it’s giving me a couple more miles per gallon at least.

It works on 2012 ram 1500 4x4
It was very easy to install the sound it makes is amazing it looks great on my 2012 ram cheap and affordable. Should get better gas mileage with this RC cold air intake

I really like it
Only four stars because the instructions that are included are crap, and the intake hose crimps when installed. HOWEVER, it gave my truck an awesome growl that I absolutely love. I don't know if it gave a performance boost because I also installed the Pedal Commander the day before, but it's worth the money just for the sound.

Decent Value, Sounds Great—But Installation Is a Challenge
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (Value)⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ (Ease of Install)This intake offers decent value for the price, but be prepared for some frustration during the install. Like others have mentioned, my kit was missing a few parts (a bolt, nut, and one unusable clamp). When I contacted Rough Country, they advised me to just pick up replacements at a local hardware store—not exactly the level of customer service I was hoping for.Installation was tricky. The included instructions were printed in black and white and were so washed out they were nearly useless. I initially followed a third-party video, which led to poor fitment. Eventually, I found a much better PDF version of the instructions on RC’s website—definitely recommend starting there. One big issue was the vacuum hose routing. Their design causes the hose to kink unless you get creative. They include a 90-degree elbow to help, but there are no instructions on how to use it. I had to improvise with parts from the OEM intake and modify the provided hose to make everything fit properly. If you're not mechanically experienced, this install could be frustrating. That said, once installed, it sounds fantastic—deep and aggressive under throttle. I’m also hoping to see a small boost in fuel efficiency over time, though it’s too early to say for sure. The build quality is okay, but not quite up to the level of something like K&N. The clamps feel a bit cheap, and I wish the filter came pre-oiled. All in all, it’s a decent budget-friendly option, as long as you’re comfortable doing a bit of problem-solving during install.

Was worried but Fits good
All of the reviews was hit and miss. Was nervous weather it would work or not but received everything needed for the instal. It took prolly longer then should have on installation but it was 10 degrees out lol so I recommend waiting for a warm day for the hoses and couplers to fit and stretch. Looks great on my 2010 ram and definitely breaths better!

Good in theory, bad on execution
Bought 2 years ago. On several occasions I had to put the tube back into the rubber. The whole system seems like it is too small, and with the shifting of the engine over time, it pulls the plastic tube out. There also appears to be no change in performance, other than the sound. Sound is great, but truck gets better mileage on stock intake system.

Design
Install was easy but could be cut to shape exact fitment and the grommet for the map sensors needs to be more oem to lock in place

Calling it "bolt on" is generous
I don't know if it was just poor workmanship, but this was by far the worst install I've ever had to do for what is considered a bolt on mod. Parts needed to be bent to fit the right angles, clamps were too small and needed to be muscled on. Heck, one of the hose clamps were broken and I had to fix it. The rubber hose that has to attach to the factory breather barely fits on to the factory breather etc. Heck ikea furniture comes with hex keys, they couldn't be bothered to send one with the kit since they used hex screws? All in all, I expected better build quality. By the time I WANTED to give up, I was already too late and had made some cuts on factory parts so I was all in. Good thing I'm mechanically inclined. Once installed, it seems like it's working just fine. Sounds great, performance gains might take a while to see cause i've got my foot in it all the time to hear it.
