Hook one side mask strap on, feed other end thru ball cap adjustment hole and connect end to other side mask. Now no ears or hair destroyed by mask ear strap and ball cap keeps it high and prevents dropping low on skull causing mask to squish nose closed. I could not get placement to stay/work on head without use of ball cap. It beats garden tie tabs. Easy to lose so tie a string on on ends as lanyard

I bought two types of these: One was rubber and one was plastic like this one. Personally I have a smaller right ear (significantly smaller) so I like to use this to avoid slipping. This does the job. I like this cause you can make your mask tighter as well. The issue is that if you hook it as you would normally and have the mask straps ride on top of your ear, the extra pressure, I noticed makes the top of my ears sore. So generally you’d want to put these so the mask straps go across your ears and not have them sit on top and below your earlobes. On the flip side, I handed these out to my coworkers and they love them. Ladies who have their hairs tied put this above their bun or hair tie to keep ear discomfort. Some place this near their nape. My initial concern was that this being plastic might catch my hair or scrape my scalp but it hasn’t done that yet. So I rate this 5 stars for its function and price. Would like to have something that would stay on the exact spot behind my head without it drifting up or down, me being a guy with short hair. But that would probably be another price so I cannot dock points there.

I just received this today. According to the description, these are supposed to be comfortable. I did not find them comfortable as they are not silicone (which they should be to be flexible enough). They are somewhat sturdy. I bought 2 masks from a friend and they are rather large. These do help with that & I can use the inner clip (3rd) one and the mask does fit. However, because the material is a sturdy plastic, I was trying to put a curve it in and it ended up bending it. If I tried to bend it back, it seemed like it was going to crack. Leaving the band as is, it sits at the higher part on my neck. The ends stick way out because of having to use the 3rd clip. Even though you get 8, the cost is pretty decent for that amount. For comfortability, thumbs down.. **UPDATE** 6/21/20. The company is refunding my money, so they do get a 5 Star for that. Being that I had to destroy one to make it work. They made it right and without returning the rest of the items. Thank you! That is great customer service.

This product works fine for folks who do not like the elastic over the ears. It adds comfort and it is surprisingly [to me] very secure. However, it does not permanently or even temporarily, attach to the mask - which is a good thing since I use different masks daily - but at the same time, one has to remember to hang on to the strap when taking off the mask. So now I have three mask things to remember: my mask, the strap and I've purchased one of those mask cages that keep the fabric off your face. Each of the items serve their purpose well, but I wish I could figure out a way to make them easier to combine. If I had to wear a mask all day this would be a godsend; but having to remove and keep track of three items every time I took a drink, it would be irritating. Having said all that - I highly recommend the ear hook for its purpose.

Poor design, only used it for 30 min before deciding to return this useless product, mask ear loops started to slide off the grooves when turning my head around such as while driving. The grooves are raised semicircles angled 45 degrees above the strap and are only a few mm in size (about 1/4"). I previously got different extenders that looked very similar but it was different design with flat "fishbone" grooves that hold ear loops in place, instead of raised semicircles in this one. I mistakenly thought that was buying the same thing because the other ones were exactly the same 4 colors (Zonoz brand here on Amazon, it's not the cheapest of this kind of extenders but durable silicone material and they worked well for me until I lost them).

Love these, Just wish they offered more colors like Green, Beige, navy blue or even purple to match our outfits! But I loved them, more then any other products.

Not pliable enough to comfortably wrap around your head when masked up; mask loops keep slipping off the short rounded hooks as well. Good amount... but what good is it if it's uncomfortable?

My husband really likes these as he doesn't have to worry about losing a hearing aid anymore - this let's him put the ask band below the ears. Only improvement would be to permanently be able to clip it on. The first time he used it thee piece popped off and landed between the seat and the center console so he had to get sometime to dig it bak out with. We were so afraid of him losing one of his hearing aids when he takes his mask on and off- this gets rid of this problem.

Clips are a little flimsy... making them slightly less quality than I would expect. They don't look like they would hold up well. So far, they do the job.
