They look nice and function fine, but these things are flimsy and made of thin, soft metal. Poles are in two 4' sections that are held together only by tiny pin screws. Light mount itself is attached to the pole with two more tiny thumb screws. As I said, everything is made of very soft metal. Bolts and screw heads can strip easily, so install with a delicate hand. Make sure you have properly sized tools.I have little confidence that they will survive big or persistent winds. Even a child leaning or pulling on them could easily cause them to bend or break. They would best be placed where they have some protection.

the light looks nice from the pictures, but in real life is really flimsy. push too had, and it'll bend or break. can't wait for a really windy day! the WORST part is that it came with 2 screws that came out causing the light fixture to hang by the electric wires next to the pole. i contacted customer service and was asked to take a picture of the 2 screws that were too small, and they would send me 2 screws that would 'hopefully work'. nopenopenope.

I haven't permanently installed the lights yet but have tried them out. They are light wt but no more than any other that I looked at before deciding on this one. They look very nice. I am running a 1"OD piece of conduit through the light pole for added strength so I anticipate no issues with pole strength..

Great looking product but very weak I bought five of these the wind blew one of the lights over and broke the pole in two.

Just a beautiful look. We bought these for a dock we created inside our store to help with an authentic look. We had seen some reviews that they may not be strong outdoors during a storm and thought perhaps we'd be a steel pipe from Lowes to put inside for added strength if needed, but for inside they were definitely suitable. So glad we found them!

They look nice but are poorly made and did not last me a year before the color faded and the wind snapped the cheap metal base. They might survive indoors, but not outdoors.

We were pleased with the lights for the cost. Time will tell if they last sitting by the water.
