McGraw-Hill Education Preparation for the GRE Test 2016, Cross-Platform Edition

I consider myself very fortunate to have found this book. I noticed that other people mentioned typos in the online tests. I didn't use those tests, so I can't speak to that, but what I did use is the chapters in the actual book, and I found these well-written, concise, clear, and comprehensible. Like most people buying a test-prep book, I'm not a big fan of standardized tests, but this book was very helpful in helping me overcome my fears. This isn't a one-stop shop for GRE preparation, but it'll put you on the right track.

I've been using this study program for over a month - both the book and the web app that accompanied the book. I spent hours studying and taking a diagnostic test through the web app. After I logged out and logged back in later to review my results, my progress was lost and the web app is showing that I didn't complete any study tasks or diagnostic tests today. Very Disappointing!

Almost each subsection of the math review has a mathematical error/typo in it. This mostly entails switching a number halfway through an explanation or providing the incorrect product of two numbers. Slightly distracting.

The book is a great resource for building a foundation for the GRE. It brings you up to speed on the math and verbal topics. I found the verbal helpful and for math the number properties is the best chapter. Once you master this book you can move on to the ETS materials. Overall, this book is to the point and a good starting point.

While the teaching methods and test-taking strategies in this book are great, the vast amount of errors in the calculations and answer choices is just ridiculous! It's too bad that I didn't keep track of all of them that I found (at least 25-30 in the quantitative reasoning alone)....it would have been fun to send them all the the publisher. Taking online Practice Test #1 now, and ashamed to say that there are blatant errors in that as well. Use this material with caution to study!!!!

Excellent book. I bought this on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm very satisfied I did so. The explanations of the content were clear, digestible, and thorough. It's not a short book, but it taught me everything I needed to know for the GRE.

Filled with wrong answers both in tests and practice drills. Seriously should consider taking the time to review what you teach to people learning the material.

This book was great! It's the only thing I used to study and I felt very comfortable coming out of that test. Taught me everything I needed to know.
