The hat offers good sun protection and fits well, however, the hat I received is certainly not a bucket hat. It is just another 'Boonie Hat" with a wide flapping brim, which is not what I wanted. Although I won't wear it, it will make an okay gift to someone else.

Loved!!! I bought this for my fiancé while vacationing in Europe’s extremely hot summers. It’s easy to travel with (folds, light weight, etc), provides protection from the sun and looks just edgy enough. He hasn’t stopped expressing remorse about forgetting it at the luggage scanner 😆

As, a former Mohs surgery patient, I wear sunblock and hats everyday. This hat is great because it fits larger heads, looks good and has at about a 3 inch brim. It also packs ok for travel and is not heavy on your head. I like to wear this when I am in the city or cooler weather with a jacket. Otherwise, I wear very large hats. I have gifted this hat to at least four people, who like it as well. It buy it in black , but it would be great if it came in some more feminine colors.

well made, fits my head, will end up working very well for a different purpose ** BUT ** the reason for the three stars is THIS IS NOT A BUCKET HAT!!!!! It's a "BOONIE" style. The photo looks like it'll be a bucket style with a lower profile downward sloping brim, but that isn't at all what it looks like when it arrives - it actually shows up with a wider, flatter boonie-style rim.
