Hogue OverMolded Rubber Grip for 1911 Government Model with Finger Grooves, Black - 45000

These are great grips and I have been using Hogue products for years, with no complaints. They look good, provide an excellent grip, aids in weapon control, they are not too thick, and have just the right balance of softness/firmness to give you a great hold on the weapon. If you got a 10mm 1911 or are shooting .45ACP+P loads, then you will really appreciate this grip. It’s a great add-on.

I have bigger hands, and a standard 1911 grip just doesn't feel right. This is just the right thickness to make it balanced and comfortable for me.

Gives a whole new feel to my old Thompson 1911 45 acp. Molds to your fingers and it is such a great grip to this weapon. Easy to install, took me less than 5 min, and I should have bought these years ago. Rubber is durable, came in time packaged well, and regarding placement, don’t tighten down all the screws till it’s completely snapped over. If worse comes to worse, heat up rubber with a blow dryer(warm to the touch) to give you elasticity. Holes lined up well, color looks like it was specifically made for my 45, and the appearance just changes and updates the look. Great value…(I’d show pictures, but Amazon AI kicked back my review because I showed a handgun. Well duhhh… these are GRIPS for a Handgun. You want me to show them on a lawnmower???).Just tried the edit and added the picture..we’ll see what happens..(one last try)Well…get them. I highly -highly recommend these grips. Very good grip, well designed for the 1911 platform. It was a very tight fit, and I had to push it in place in a couple of areas, such as under the hand guard, but it fit very tight, absolutely no slippage, and it's a very comfortable grip. Very happy with it!

I put these on to replace the stock grips on my Taurus PT1911. It was a snug fit and not especially hard to do. Snap the grip on from the bottom to the top. The stock screws work perfectly. I have big hands and the grips are great. Makes the slim single stack handle feel like a double stack handle...very similar to a Sig P226. No more twisting! The rubber is grippy but not sticky. These are MUCH better than the Pachmayer rubber/rosewood grips I tried. The Hogue grips provide clearance for the ambidextrous safety (had to sand the p'mayer grips). I got rid of the p'mayer grips cause the medallions fell off after a month of occasional shooting. The Hogue grips are made in USA by a family owned company. The Pachmayers are not........buy these!

Made my 1911 shoot like an entirely different gun. What a game changer!

I have a rock island 1911 10mm full size this grip does not fit compact as screws do not line up. Look at your stock grip people. This Hogue grip needs to be notched on the inside to match the factory grip. You have to put the 2 bottom screws in first then push the top part of the grip in until it pops over the studs and bingo, they fit perfect. I used my Dremel to notch out the Hogue grip bottom holes to match your stock grip. It was really easy and now fits perfectly.
