Restored My Wheels to Showroom Condition
I was skeptical at first, but this E-TECH alloy wheel repair putty exceeded my expectations. After a minor curb incident, my alloy wheels had unsightly scuffs. Following the instructions, I applied the putty, let it harden, and sanded it down. The result? A smooth finish that matched the rest of the wheel perfectly. Pros: • Easy to apply with clear instructions • Dries hard and durable • Sands down to a smooth finish Cons: • Requires patience for the best results Highly recommend for DIY enthusiasts looking to save on repair costs.

Good product
The product is good. And, it all depends on how well you knead it before the application.

Putty repair
Easy to apply and a smooth finish after sanding

Easy to use
A few minutes rolling in your hand to get a universal colour and then filled in on the alloy. It is fast drying but I left it over night before sanding. Sands well but takes time to get a good finish as with anything. Started with 200 grit and worked up to 800 grit before applying the alloy paint. Before I painted, the kerb rash was no longer visible with just the putty. Very pleased with the results overall

Easy to use,
Just bought a car with some kerb rash on 3 alloy wheels. Too deep for just paint to cover it so I sanded the areas back, washed off, dried, then went over the areas with panel wipes. Cut a slice off the roll, kneaded it for a while and smeared it in to the damaged areas. In the warm weather it set in about 30 minutes, but I left it overnight to fully harden before sanding back. Its tough stuff! Starting with dry coarse paper, then wet & dry coarse and fine sandpaper until it was smooth. Wash off, pack of playing cards to protect the tyres, panel wipes, prime paint and lacquer and it looks superb. I'd buy this again

Preparation is key
Like any filler/bonder it's imperative that you clean and prepare the surfaces incredibly well before any attempt to get a good bond. I have used this to repair curb rash on alloy wheels and it works very well. If you're powder coating after any repairs then you must use a metal filler as standard body filler won't take the powder well, or cope with the heat required. Used a small file to file down over fill then sanded with 120grit. Continue sanding the surrounding area for a uniformed appearance, I then went to 240 and up to 800. It actually takes a media blast well too (fine) so if you're looking for an overall small metal repair putty that's got good adhesion, sets very hard, ideal for powder coating over then this is worth the money. Just remember to clean and prepare the surface extremely well so you don't have any issues with break off or poor repairs. 👍

Good for diy.
Purchased this for a big repair on my wheel. Filled well and looks ok for a diy repair. Not sure if it will last as only just used. Need to work fairly quick before it starts to set. But seems ok.

Useless, don’t bother trying it
Absolutely useless. I followed the instructions and although I am very DIY competent there’s no chance of this working. Mixed three lots to try again in case I got it wrong but this simply does not work. As the saying goes “if it’s too good to be true” there’s a good chance it’s not good. I sent it back for a refund which I got, no questions asked. Don’t even bother ordering it.
