This is a unique and beautifully crafted book, just like the artisans it shows us. I am enthralled with it, especially since I can't go to Japan because of COVID. It would make a great gift for any Japanophile or craftsperson. Just the highest quality in every way. A gen!

Authors spent months with the craftpeople, so in-depth profiles. Beautiful photos. Nice supplement to a travel guide for those making an arts-related visit. Or for armchair travelers.

Top quality imagery and descriptions of some marvellous skilled people. Well worth while getting for the fantastic variety alone. A useful insight into Japanese craftwork and skills.
