Cuts with ease
With my art I do a lot of cutting. I cut anything from thin rice paper to yupo to 140lb cold press Arches watercolor paper. Some of the things I cut are very intricate with tight spaces. I was so tired of the blade in my exacto knife dulling so quickly. So I gave the Fiskars Heavy-duty 18mm utility knife a try. Despite being large and heavy I can cut delicate shapes with ease no matter how thick the paper is. When I ran out of blades I purchased these. I love them. They stay sharp even better than the blades that originally came with my utility knife. I didn't think the knife could cut any better until I replaced with these blades, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it could. From now on I'll only purchase these blades going forward. Attached is a photo of a scribble my 2 year old drew that I cut out to use as a mask for my monotypes. There were so many tight spaces, and I was cutting this from Yupo which is made from polypropylene. It cut without issues. I also love that these blades are used with a retractable knife. So when I'm not using it I simply slide the lever down and the blade is safely tucked away.

what does that mean? it's cutting just like it did when it came out of the package. very sharp, and so far, durable.

Does NOT come with the black and orange blade case that's in the photos!!
That's the only downside to these blades though. Because aside from that, these blades are probably among some of the best long blades you can get. And I should know. I've probably gone through thousands of long blades by now, after being an insulation installer for more than a decade. The bottom line is just that they stay sharper for much longer than other long blades I have used. Of course, I expect nothing less from Fiskars.

Did not come with pictured orange and black case
The blades are great but $13 for a 5 pack of blades. If it had the case I would have been willing to pay. Fiskar is great but this seller is sketch.

hard to find item locally-so plan ahead about a 4 day delivery window. Excellent blades
