40th Anniversary

Deluxe all encompassing box sets are growing in popularity. They are an excellent, albeit expensive, way of collecting a single artists work in one place. Here we have an excellent collection of Manfred Manns Earth Band on a sturdy box. Unfortunately I bought this shortly after also purchasing the Wishbone Ash Vintage Years set. Although more expensive the Ash set is the definitive way to create a deluxe collectors item. In comparison this fares badly. I'm sure there is enough work in the locker to be able to produce a similar product. It's just this isn't it.As such a missed opportunity IMHO. On a positive note it is the cheapest way to acquire the remastered CDs rather than buying them individually.

Great box set that I’ve been waiting for! But where’s the extra tracks like on the single cd releases? How many times do I have to purchase the cd to get all the tracks? Very disappointing Creature music. Even on the bonus cd Spirit in the night single version is missing! There is plenty of room on each cd for bonus material that should have been utilized! Someone didn’t see this through. Take a lesson from Cherry Pop or Edsel records next time.

Because I had to get shut of a load of stuff last year because of moving house. All of my vinyl albums had to go due to lack of space. So replacing certain ones. Came across this set. Absolutely fantastic value. Have replaced the five albums I had to let go. Now I have the full set. Good boxset packaging. Strong box housing the CD'S. If you like Manfred Mann' Earthband.....GET IT You won't be disappointed.

excellent box set. all the albums the band recorded plus a new live album and books. worth the money for 20 albums!!!!

It was the Solar Fire album that got me into progressive rock really and joybringer of course and I loved Messin the album too - I was a,huge fan of Mick Rogers and Colin Pattenden, Chris Slade and Manfred Mann himselfI even had the privilege of meeting them after a show on Birmingham - I still have the signed programme although Mick had left by then sadlyYes this is a costly set but it is utterly brilliant and is beautifully packagedMine came with a signed book of essays from Manfred Mann himselfThe early albums are here in all their gloryAnd the later albums get their chance to shine too - The live on Germany disc is superb too with Mick Rogers on very fine form as indeed are the whole bandAll in all there is some astounding music here and including as,it does three live albums plus a leftovers cd this set really does the band justice and,shows what great interpreters they areMy buy of the year so farget it whilst you can - you will not regret It20 albums (21 discs) two booklets and a big poster too what's not to love ?I bought mine direct and got a,free copy of lone arranger included and ut was delivered the next day truly wonderful and a joy to rediscover in such a,marvellous manner

This is a very professionally produced box set,the sleeves look great, and remind me of the excitement i got when a new Earth Band album came out.The re-mastering has produced very good sound quality. I've been a fan of the Earth band since the seventies, and its great to have all the albums to-gether, surprisingly I find myself listening to the later stuff more, such as 2006 and Masque,which are very underated albums. I know its expensive,but if your'e a fan, you will not be disappointed

Just received this a week ago in Oz - with the book signed by Mr Mann himself!! Wonderful set package design booklet and remastering. Up to 8th disc already and loving it!! Even if you already own a number of these albums, the remastered cds are a joy to behold and the packaging is fantastic - not a bad word to say!! Now back to the roaring silence!!!

I have purchased and imported them to Japan as my own Christmas&New years' holiday gift. The quality of sound is nice. The paper sleeve is good. I love them indeed.
