These little lights are surprisingly bright for as small as they are. They arrive quickly in a card board box. As you unpack and unwind them, you'll probably think this is Chinese President Xi Jinping's sneak attack on America to drive Amazon shoppers crazy as the fine gage wire whips around itself time and time again until you're left with a tennis ball sized ball of lights, never to be undone. Take it from a fellow who had to buy several orders to finally complete the project, secure a sturdy tool to immediately wrap the wire around, to be leisurely unwound and stapled in place when you start your job. So far they are performing great. They are bright, but the dimming function failed. I mentioned this to the seller and they were kind enough to send a replacement controller which I easily swapped out and I'm pleased to report they dim correctly which is good for me as I do my best seducing to make "sexy time" in the dim light. Not so good for me if it's too bright, but that's another story!

I ordered these lights in August 2016 to hang in a tree in our backyard. For a variety of reasons we did not hang them until about a month ago. They are beautiful lights and make the yard look magical at night. They do tangle easily so patience is necessary. One evening the lights were very dim and the next night stopped working. We wondered if the AC adapter got wet so I emailed the company to ask if I could buy a new adapter before deciding if wanted to buy a whole new set. They responded immediately, apologized and said there is a 12 month warranty so they're sending a whole new set. Can't wait to get them and get our tree sparkling again. Fingers crossed no more issues.Update 6/29/17. New lights received, untangled, tested, hung, tested again, less than a week later they don't work. They refunded my money which I appreciate but what I really want are working lights. :(

These were very difficult to get untangled after my wife just started pulling one end! If you take your time and carefully unroll the light string, you won't have the same problem. The instructions for the remote need some work. If you hold the dim or bright button down for example, nothing seems to happen. The lights will brighten or dim if you push, let go, push etc, the buttons. Once that has been figured out, it is smooth sailing from there on. We are very pleased with our 80 ft sting of lights.

These really are beautiful once installed and add ambiance to my patio where I've run them around the pergola. The remote is handy. It read the warning in the instructions that said you should not expose your power supply to a bunch of water which should be no problem since it's plugged into the wall socket. I put a small nail to hold up the remote sensor a few feet off the ground in a semi-protected area so it should be ok.Lots of compliments...I enjoy the effect. I wish the strand was double the length or there was a way to connect to a second strand...but I knew what I was getting from the beginning. Good stuff!

The wiring for the lights are very fragile and any little nick will cut the wire. The first time I tried to string the lights on my back deck I barely touched the wire with a staple and one of the wires were cut in half. The lights after the cut did not work. I tried several different ways to reconnect the wires but nothing work. I bought another set of the same lights and the same thing happened. I chalked those up to operator error so I bought one more string. This time I was extremely careful and did not use a staple gun or anything that could cut a wire. However, as I bent the strand of wire in a 90 degree angle to run down a post a wire broke in half and the lights went out. The lights look really good while they work but I would never buy these again due to how fragile and how easy the wires snap. They have been nothing but a waste of money and time. I'm very disappointed in this product and will look for another option for outside lighting.

I bought these lights to run along the bottom of the railing for my back stairs which are very dark. They are fantastic, I love them! I can dim these, which is plenty of light to see the stairs, or have them bright for entertaining. They were easy to put up, and nearly unnoticeable during the day as they are very small lights. They would be great for decorating anything... buy these, they even come with an 18 month warranty!

Warning!!! Do NOT purchase. I wish someone had written a true review. These lights worked for only seconds. The switches are cheap and flimsy. No way they would hold up to outdoor use and weather. I've not ordered from this company and won't again. There was no remote control in the pkg. I didn't want to give this one star. Total failure.

These were really cool. Used them for a party. Got lots of compliments. Didn't have any issues with the remote. Worked perfectly right out of the box. They do get tangled easily though, but if you wind them around something it isn't an issue. One thing that I wish was better was the blinking lights...there isn't a gentle blinking setting. I was wanting something that was more like fireflies than epilepsy.
