First installation attempt and used this in my sprinkler manifold. Super easy to install (non-threaded) and worked first try

Perfect replacement for my old one.
I had the damn this time trying to get this one to work right. I had an issue with the flow through the valve and trying a valve with a separate flow gauge didn’t help. I needed to go back to this design, which was the original on the unit. I just use the top and the swap was pretty easy. Make sure you use clean connections and keep them covered and you’ll have no issues.
