The 12 liter can is large enough to hold kitchen trash for 1 or 2 people for a short period of time (1-2 days). A grocery store size bag can be used to line the can. There is no hook to hang the bag but there is ample bag left to drape over the sides of the pail; it will stay in place that way. When closed, the can's lid is deep enough to prevent any sign of the bag. The can does not have a glossy finish, in fact it has no real shine to it. Although feeling light in weight, it withstands opening with the step, without giving any indication of tipping over. A seal around the top of the pail, keeps it from making a loud slam when closing. When closed, the seal is air-tight enough to keep the trash odors from permeating the room. It's a simple can with no bells and whistles but in the 6 weeks I have owned it, it does the job without incident. If you need a small can for trash, this is a good quality can and a great value.

Its my mistake that I didn't estimate this size well. I brought this product to replace those big plastic kitchen trash cans from walmart. What was I thinking!!! This is a pretty little one, with a small can inside which makes cleaning easy. If you are looking for a small stylish one, I would totally suggest this.

I use this to scoop my cat litter into- it’s the perfect size so you don’t overfill a bag that’s too heavy, it closes nicely and is easy to use. For my purposes of this trash can it is perfect, worth the money, and makes my life easier when removing the waste

We have to keep our trash/recycle bins in our garage but do not like the idea of throwing their full poop bags in them. We use this near the garage, hidden from view to dispose of their used bags. It is fairly sturdy, uses regular small bathroom liners and the lid closes snugly. Works great!

I visualized something a little larger, but I knew size from write up. It works fine and does it's job. The hinge and foot pedal are doing ok after about a month's use. Due to size it's unstable unless on flat ground. But I actually carry it along with me while picking up. Handy little slot behind top lid and very lite to carry. With the usual rakes/bags it's a bit clumsy trying to dump into it but nothing major. I put grocery bag inside and double bag and tie putting in trash. I do use the poop bags on the scoop. I'm satisfied and would recommend unless more than one large dog. We have 3 small ones.

A perfect size for a kitchen garbage bin. The pedal is easy to push down, no resistance at all -- my previous garbage bin was about 20 or 25 liters so when it was nearly full the pedal would be SO hard to push to lift the lid. This bin is an excellent size: with the bin full, it is not heavy enough to make it difficult to the lift the lid with the pedal AND with a smaller capacity, there's less time for waste to fester before the bag must be replaced. The stainless steel is a gorgeous finish, and the inner bucket is easily removable, with a metal handle! I may get the 5-liter version of this bin to go in my bathroom.

We bought this because we 'thought' it would keep the puppy out of our en-suite trash can. She's a genius - what can we say.... lol It's on the small size but it works. The brushed stainless steel is pretty and cleans well. The inside can comes out so you can empty it easily.

I really regret this purchase. There is no way to hide the top of the bag you line the basket with - it sticks out at the top in a very noticeable way and completely ruins the aesthetics of the can. They don't show this in any of their pictures, I'm sure because nobody would buy this product. I have a lovely home and this extremely ugly product sticks out like a sore thumb. I am quite angry I purchased this.
