Q: Is this the same as what’s used to deter rodents?

I use steel wool as part of the rodent defense program in our house. It is also useful in keeping critters from entering the attic. Sometimes I also use spray can insulation foam mixed in or sprayed on top of steel wool that I have jammed into areas where the floor meets the walls. Though rodents find many creative ways to access houses--and I still need to use traps sometimes---I find the steel wool method rather successful. Outdoor cats and snakes are also quite helpful in keeping the rodent population under control in rural areas. Anyway, Hope this helps.

Q: Is the top of the bag supposed to be open or is it supposed to be sealed? The top of the bag was open when it arrived.
