Fits the ipod classic perfectly (which means it is snug). I really like the design of it, rotating clip, ease of use, etc. I did knock off a star because the clip broke (came apart) after a week or two of purchasing/using it. We were able to fix it enough to keep using it, but really, that was way too soon for it to break. It has been fine ever since then.

I used this exact case for at least twelve years. Massive hours doing vigorous and messy gardening, dog walking, power washing, roof and gutter cleaning, staying doors and wooden trim for big remodel projects. The case took a real beating as I listened to my 13,238 cuts in a hundred playlists. Made the work ALMOST enjoyable.Great quality. Perfect fit. Old school to use an iPOD classic to access such a vast song library but I love having it at my fingertips in a sturdy case. I highly recommend it especially for seriously hard workers.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:After restoring an iPod a nice case is a desirable addition. This is very adequate as a protective cover and a carry case.

Order3d this for a 160GB Gen 3 Classic. The product is good quality, but Very tight for the 160. It will never fall out but it took a LOT of convincing to get in into the case.

This is a replacement for a cover that I bought more than 5 years ago. When I had to replace it because I had broken its belt clip, I was pleased to find the same cover still available. However, since I received the new one, I have found that the new belt clip that came with it will not stay secure on its stud. It is as though the catch mechanism will not completely close. The catch on the broken clip still works and is very secure on both the old and the new studs. The clip is a big part of the cover's utility, and since it doesn't work, I am disappointed with the purchase.The vendor sent a replacement unit; within a couple of days, the same type of problem occurred, this time with one of the screws falling out and the clip failed again.I would not recommend this product.

My husband and I are still nursing along our old iPod Classics. When they got some new batteries recently, we also decided to upgrade the old cases that were worn and shredded. I know there are folks out there that still love their iPods. Maybe we can keep ours going for another ten years, if we're lucky! Who knows! At least they've gotten some loving maintenance and the new cases just seemed necessary at this point. These fit perfectly and feel sturdy. Should last till the iPods finally die.
