Wife's review: I wanted to know what the rave was all about with the charcoal phenomenon. So I went with Dermalogica since most of my beauty products I use are theirs. I have sensitive, combination, acne prone skin and am a NC43 shade in MAC cosmetics, in my late 30s.I followed the directions and left the mask on for only 7 minutes. My face tightened while it was on. I applied warm water and massaged the charcoal while I rinsed it off.You definitely get a glow from this product! Also, the blackheads in my nose and chin minimized by 80%. I have very large pores there. My face was extremely smooth. If you want a deep cleaning product that gets the gunk out in one application, then this is for you. But I would only use it about every 10-14 days and only at night.

I use mostly Dermalogica products and this masque is definitely one I will buy again. I have combination skin - oily in the T-zone and my facial pores are easily clogged. If my skin is not super clean, I get these little bumps on my forehead especially. I use this masque when I have sweated a lot or worked in the yard and it keeps my skin free of blemishes and tones it as well. Follow the directions. The masque dries and hardens and you have to wet your fingers and massage it before rinsing, an important step you don't want to miss because it exfoliates your skin too. I recommend once a week or or two for deep cleaning and drawing out of impurities.One thing - it does have a slight odor, but it's gone after rinsing anyway, so it doesn't bother me.

This mask is a miracle worker. I have tried pretty much everything on my skin. I am 23 and have had acne since the first signs of puberty. It's much less intense now as an adult, but still more than most people have to deal with. So you can imagine Ive tried everything over the years.This mask in particular has helped tremendously with my skin. It clears up any active breakouts by like 50% with in 12 hours of using. It also brightens your skin and helps with acne scars and pigmentation. I use this mask 2-3 times a week and it has become a much have for my beauty regimen. It does leave my face a little red for about an hour after applying but it's definitely worth it for the amazing results.

I have never had a mask that works this well before. It's as good as a facial from a professional. The sulfury smell can be a bit much if you leave it on too long, but the results on my skin speak for themselves. I can use it as a spot treatment, too. By far the best mask to reduce acne and pull impurities from the skin that I've ever found.

Whenever I use the charcoal mask from Dermalogica I always get compliments on my skin the next day!! I love it!

This is great if you have any acne or pimples that you want to get rid of fast and keep you skin clear longer. This works WONDERS. Cleared my pimples and diminished acne scars in as little as 1 week! FOR REAL! Worth the money! I would suggest to use no more than 2-3 days per week, and for no longer than 20 minutes each time. Can be quite intense if its your first time!

My favorite clay mask!! Work amazing even as a spot treatment!

whatever ingredient sulfur or charcoal, smell/odor is overbearing. Can cause an upset stomach

Unhappy with the product. It is supposed to give clear skin, but every time I use it (I have tried it 3 times ) my face especially the area near my nose breaks out into small zits. I still have some more left in the tube but won't use it. Not recommended at all.
