Q: Could an animal easily chew a hole in this? Need it under an outdoor park trailer?

Chew or rip with claws….. it would tear easily.

Q: what is the inside diameter? It would need to fit on an exactly 12" pipe for my application from my dust cyclone to the dust barrel. Will this fit?

If you are speaking of a home vacuum cleaner, no it will be far too wide. I used this to mend AC duct work in a crawl space . It is not 12” long but 12” wide
