Great shoes but they run small, not big!
OK, I really liked wearing these Sneakers. They are sturdier and more supportive than most sneakers. I especially like the stability of them, the sole seems to have some design advantage and I feel that I am less likely to slip with these on. Amazon's sizing advice on these shoes says they run big. My experience was that they ran small. Thankfully Amazon let me exchange them and once again my hat is off to Amazon. Normally I wear a 10.5 or an 11 shoe. Thinking that they ran big, I ordered an 11. Well, they only fit with nice dress socks. Heavier socks were not even close. I got the 11.5 and that cured everything.

Durable and Comfy, High Quality Shoes!
These feel like excellent shoes. Very sturdy, supportive, and well made. Typical Patagonia craftsmanship. They are relatively light and very comfy to walk in. The Vibram sole seems very durable and top of the line. I got the green color with yellow laces and this should work nicely for fall and winter. I'd definitely recommend getting them, especially at this great sale price!

Good but....
I know shoes. I was airborne infantryman and currently have the bad back and knees to support that. The shoes are good but not great. They are sturdy as all get out and are pretty comfortable. I can wear these for about 5-6 hours before I need to take a break and rest my feet. My knees and back dont hurt which is great, but they will make my feet ache in the arch after walking too much.I would say that if you are looking for sturdy pair of walking/hiking shoes, give them a try. If you have concerns about your knees and back and require the cushion you will be ok. If you have trouble with your feet/arch, just be aware that you may not get the support you need with these.I would still buy these again as I like the design and are very sturdy. I hope that after another 50-60 miles of hiking they break in and the arch wont hurt as much.

Durable and comfortable
I walk to and from work each day for distances a little over a mile each way. These shoes have been quite durable and comfortable for both the walk and for wearing throughout the day. They fit just a tiny bit larger than expected, but not enough to cause discomfort. Will likely buy another pair of Patagonia shoes when these finally decide to wear out.

I highly recommend these shoes for there fit and value
This is my 4th pair of Patagonia's in the last 2 years. I still wear 3 of these pairs. One pair I use for walking, averaging 10-15 miles per week. Another pair I wear to work and leisure. The oldest pair I use around the house for working. Every pair I purchased required no break in time or any discomfort. I highly recommend these shoes for there fit and value.

I love Patagonia and never had a problem with any of their gear. This shoe is nice i like most everything about it, however the stitching is coming undone around the toe area on one shoe. I have had them a little over a month. Pretty dissapointing

Definitely not rugged, supportive footwear
I have always liked patagonia ski and camping wear. Never tried their footwear before. Liked the look of these, and bought them on a special deal.The fit is fine, but I'm disappointed in the construction of the shoe itself. I find that it has very little support. There isn't a real arch support, and the sides just seem too soft and floppy to provide any real support. When I put these on, I feel like I put on a pair of slippers.This might be great for those who like a soft, pliable shoe. I was hoping it would be a bit more rugged and maybe a lot more supportive for my feet.Was torn about how many stars. Went all the way to 3 because I like the look. Might have gone with 2, because they don't get much wear, and take up valuable closet space. Another point is that the laces seem like they were really meant for a pair of boots. They are at least twice the length necessary for this shoe. The result is that on the rare occasions when I wear these, they have the appearance of clown shoes, because of the enormous excess of yellow bow on my feet. But the lack of support is the real downfall for this pair. No clowning around on that point.

Comfort Right Out of the Box
I used my shoes on an all-day walking tour of a town with many hills. There was no "break in" period at all - they felt comfortable from the time I put them on until the end of the day. The shoes are a little wider than I expected, but that didn't affect the comfort they provided. I'm very happy with this purchase.
