Homevisions Satin Nickel Five-Arm Arch Floor Lamp

First of all, this light is huge. I was expecting something closer to what is in my daughter's room - but this thing looms over everything. It is metal except for the base, and nice to look at. Dimmer switch works perfectly. Lights can be adjusted laterally but not vertically which was also a surprise.Now the fun part. I got the box, took everything out, laid it all out, and no instructions... Hmm, double checked the box, but no. Well, I like puzzles so here goes. There are only 8 pieces, and it came with a wrench. The base connects to the lower pole by removing the bottom nut on the pole, and then unscrewing the threaded inner pole until it sticks out far enough. Stick the threaded pole through the based, and apply washers and nut to secure it. The second pole was an electrical connector and a screw. I took off the screw, connected the connector, pushed the upper pole down into the lower pole, and re-inserted the screw to secure it. The other five parts are the lamp covers - unscrew the plastic retainers, put on the shade, screw in the retainer. All very easy.The description said "Uses 5 standard 40-watt bulbs (not included).". NOT TRUE. So I had the wrong size bulbs purchased for it. It uses candelabra bulbs with the small base. After getting the first map shade on, I found an extra bulb and tried the light out. As I was attaching the remaining lamp shades, on the VERY LAST ONE...stuffed inside were instructions and 5 light bulbs. Sigh. LOLOK, so first check inside the lamp shades for the instructions, and my light came with light bulbs.Lamp works great, provides a dome of reading light over a 3 foot radius (6 foot across). Pleasant warm light good for reading. Dimmer works great too, allowing lights to dim to ember glows.Overall I like the light. I just wish I had found the instructions sooner. The fact I cannot adjust the height of the lights reduces score to 4 stars.
