Get shorter version if you are under 6' tall.
Great speargun. My first one. I am new to this and really like it so far. Speared a fish on my first shot. Very strong and powerful. My friends tell me to replace the string, cuz original is not that great, but I'm fine with it so far. I'll wait and see if it breaks later. Mine is very long, and it's a bit hard to load, and I am tall guy (6'1") with long arms, but I like the longer barrel to be positioned farther away from the fish without spooking them. But if you are shorter, definitely get a smaller version, you won't be able to load it.

Compact and Perfect For Lionfish
I used this speargun for many years hunting lionfish in the Caribbean. When I left the Islands I gave it to a diver friend and he's still using it. I returned to the Islands for a few weeks so I ordered a new Cressi to do a little hunting. It is very easy to use and a perfect size for those close up shots.

Good for beginners like me
Good for beginners. I haven’t actually used it yet but I have just in case for fishing. It’s lightweight. It’s easy to use.

It’s a toy
The spear gun turned out to be ineffective—it would strike the fish but have no real impact at all. In addition, the firing mechanism broke after a single use. The trigger would lock once every three times. It’s more like a toy than a fishing gear!

Best Wedding Present Ever
Bought this for a wedding gift for a friend of mine because I had absolutely no idea what else to get him. The reviews all seemed to indicate that it was a reliable, quality speargun that was a good choice for beginners. (Neither of us had ever used one in our lives, as far I know.) When I arrived about a month ago, (very quick delivery, by the way) I took it out of the box and could not tell if it was loaded or not. Honestly, I was too scared to check for fear that I may accidentally shoot myself, my fiancee, or one of our cats. Anyway, when I finally gave it to him he was over the moon; this was clearly a good choice. Also, despite receiving it well over a month ago, I only got the email asking me to rate this the day AFTER I give it to him. That's just spooky, so extra points for that.

Amazing beginner gun
This is the gun I first started spearfishing with. It’s quite short with minimal range. But it helps teach you to hone in your aim. You’re definitely not shooting any big fish but small to medium fish it can handle. Or if you’re trying to hunt in between rocks, this gun works well also! I would suggest you check the speartip after every use. It does get loose and can unscrew. So make sure you tighten it after every session. I unfortunately was only checking from time to time. I lent the gun to my friend and the tip came off in the water and couldn’t be found. My local shop also said they don’t have a tip to match so I would have to change the entire shaft which would be around $50. Nevertheless, it’s still a good beginner gun.

Works great!
While I wish it came with an elastic band in the line to ease loading (hard to hook the line to the release with the shaft clicked in) the speargun works as advertised and I got a double bar goatfish and blue travolli on my first time out with it.
