For me, buying clothes online is always gamble, different brands usually means an inconsistency in item sizes. Luckily, these shorts were perfect!My normal go to for shorts is the 'Surplus Raw /Vintage' brand as I know they fit well & feel well made, but they are expensive. I was looking for an alternative & found these and I'm really happy.The material feels of a good quality. Buttons are sewn on well, the zipper moves well & the belt loops feel strong. Even the velcro on the leg pockets feels strong.Size wise, I'm 6.2, waist 44, but brought 46, just incase they came up short. There is plenty of room, I do have to wear a belt but no need to have to return them. So I would say in my case, had I brought my correct size they would've fitted perfectly.As for comfort, these sit well.There not long 3/4 length, nor are they short shorts. They sot on or just above thr knee. Material wise, there not thick or a heavyweight material but there not t-shirt cotton thin. I certainly didn't sweat in them during walking or sitting in the sun.I will be definitely be buying these again, highly recommended.

Good quality for the price

I like these.Decent quality and fit to size.I am 6ft tall, 84kg in weight and wear a 32 inch or sized medium in shorts and these were a perfect fit.I gave them a rinse in the washing maching on arrival, as there is a label saying that colours may transfer, and have had no problem at all

The general quality of the shorts is fine, and I don't have a problem with that. However, after wearing them just 3 or 4 times, the centre broke out of the button leaving just a mound of thread behind. It is not as though the waistband was a tight fit on me. If anything, slightly loose so worn with a belt. I suspect that it's either just a poor quality button that's not up to the job, or it has been stitched on too tightly, distorting and damaging the button centre. I have seen another recent review with exactly the same problem I was offered a partial refund as compensation, as they do not have a replacement policy. The other alternative offered was a full refund for returning them. I accepted the partial refund and will now attempt to get a decent button fitted to them

Great quality and good value for money, fits well and would recommend

My previous M&S camouflage shorts were showing signs of wear and tear - basically they had holes appearing in them where you don't want holes! Have managed to find three good options, including this one. I ordered a selection thinking that i could return any that didn't fit - as it happens they all fit quite well. These were a little to large, but I always wear a belt, so it's no great issue. The material on all three seems a little thinner / lighter than my previous "religious" pair [ie, they are very holy!!] so we will see how well they last, but all are very good, and pass my tests re big enough (and not too long - below the knee is not my style), suitably useable pockets, well priced, and generally comfortable.

As advertised. Excellent quality and comfortable to wear. Value for money/
