Why did you pick this product vs others?:The BEST item I have ever bought on Amazon. Lightweight, comfortable, quality, easy to put away, and a great alternative to an air bed. I wish they had these in all kinds of sizes and configurations. I could see this being a great bed for a pet; a great day bed for a baby; or buy several of the big ones, add multiple blankets for added comfort and use this for sleepovers for teens. If you like a firm bed, then just this on the floor will be great.

This was a great purchase. Perfect for a floor pallet or just to lounge around on. It's about 3.5 inches thick and makes sleeping on the floor very comfortable. The storage bag and security straps that come with it are great for rolling the pad up and storing it out of the way.I totally recommend this product and seller! I received my order a week earlier than expected. It shipped immediately and arrived quickly with no damage.

Really like, but need something additional underneath because otherwise it is too stiff for me. I am 5'9 200lbs and this def would not cut it for an extended couple of nights sleeping on hard floor. Not as thick as advertised either, but I still like it. Again though, i normally place on top of my 'sweetnight tri fold mattress' that I bought on Amazon as well, and the combo feels just as good as a traditional bed. IF you are looking to purchase only one and you do not like a really firm feeling (because you'll feel the floor with just this) then honestly just go search for the sweetnight. I've used that one by itself plenty of times and honestly could have gone without getting that one and this one!

Just wait a few days for it to fully plump and then enjoy! We LOVE this futon. While we were between apartments we used one as a primary bed and enjoyed it so much we didn't want to go back to our old bed for awhile. Now it serves as a ready-to-go guest bed, and sometimes we'll throw it in the back of our Tesla and use it for camping. It's very comfortable but can still be folded up to be pretty compact. Right now we slide it between an armoire and the wall when it's not in use. The sleep quality was surprisingly nice. I would take one of these over an air mattress any day.

I don't write reviews very often but after looking through some of the bad reviews on this, I thought I would add my two cents. This is a very good japanese futon mattress, and I highly recommend this one if that is what you want - it is exactly what I expected and it is a very comfortable sleep for me. That being said, it is a japanese futon mattress, and so it is supposed to be thin and you are supposed to feel the floor. If you are expected a bed mattress of any sort, you will be disappointed. This is not a typical mattress - it is designed to be on the floor and be quite firm as a result. I think it is absolutely great and exactly what I expected. If you want a japanese futon mattress, this one fits the bill and I recommend it. But that is what you will get - a thin japanese futon mattress, not a typical bed mattress, even one that you consider thin.

This thing really surprised me. Not only did it work well as a camping mat…. But I could find myself using it for extra padding on the bed to make it firm. Honestly, I was very impressed with the quality and especially surprised that how it came and how it expanded to the size it did. I just wish I would’ve bought the bigger one, but I’m glad I kinda didn’t because it is something that requires some storage space to put it away so if you don’t have much of that, don’t buy it, but if you have a garage by yourself two

The construction is good. Comes with a case. Pad has a washable cover also. Problem is, the pad is too thin. We purchased the pad to act as a floor pad with sit and watch movies. IF you ay on the pad and want to sleep the pad is just too thin. It's not comfortable. The cushioness of the pad is very limited. Unlike a futon mattress which is much thicker and more comfortable. This pad is certainly not comfortable. Not sure what its good for now.

The futon is comfortable and the thickness is just what I was looking for — not too thin, and it offers good support.That said, I did notice some stitching that looks a bit loose or uneven, which makes me wonder about long-term durability. It hasn’t caused any issues so far, but I’ll have to wait and see how it holds up over time.For now, though, I’m happy with it. It’s been comfortable to sleep on and fits my space perfectly.
