Great product for healing from an ankle sprain. The strap adds extra stability but it's still somewhat helpful without it. On tightness and size: my measurement was small, so I ordered small at first. As other reviews mention it did feel tight and a little uncomfortable for sleep, so I then ordered the medium. The medium was more comfortable BUT not as helpful for healing. So I alternated and am glad I had both sizes, using the medium for a little extra comfort when needed. But the tighter fit (using the appropriate size by chart) was definitely more helpful for actual healing.

After reading the reviews of this product, I was a little unsure if I should buy it but now I’m certainly glad I did. The sleeve could easily be called a sock because it is so soft and comfortable. The elastic stretch band is wide and doesn’t roll, so it lays comfortably around the ankle. The support is just what I needed. I had rolled my ankle, possibly some tears, and I needed support because I couldn’t go up or down stairs or bend my ankle. This brace supported my ankle so well that I was able to walk without any pain. The fit was perfect. My ankle measured a little over 8 inches so I purchased the small size. This is a comfortable, well-made brace that gives your ankle stability and support so that it can heal properly. Lots of fun colors, also, to choose from.

I have used this sleeve for a week now. It really does help with the pain in my heel. It is easy to put on and it is not too bulky. It fits in my shoes and boots without being uncomfortable. My walking without intense pain has improved dramatically. I wear it all day and take it off at night. In the last day or two I have noticed much less heel pain when getting up in the morning and no more pain while sleeping. I am still evaluating the overall effectiveness of this product because I expect it to promote permanent healing in my foot. Also, the durability of this product is still questionable. I have noticed a little change in form and webbing in the sock since I started using the device. These last statements are why it received 4 instead of 5 stars. Buy 2 if you can. You will need a second one to wear when you wash and air dry the other one.

Dealing w/ plantar fasciitis. Have tried several support alternatives: recommended taping w/ paper tape (quite effective but expensive over time and gooey on skin), sole inserts, arch supports, ankle compression sleeves, etc. The Sleeve Stars brace seems a good combination of arch support and compression sleeve in one system. It's thin so it works under socks and still not to bulky to make the shoe tight. I'm pleased. Worn w/ traditional Crocs may is promising for the best combination. (Gotta do the stretching exercises, too). Recommended

My second purchase of these ankle braces. Taking for start of heel spear in my ankle. I'm buying this one so I can wash the other. The elastic of the sleeve stays firm. Easy to put on strap around it. Not comfortable to sleep in. Good Value for price. Durable and soft. My shoes fit fine with this on.

I think this is a great product. I have had it for a while but just twisted my ankles and it works really well giving lots of supports plus it is comfortable. Make sure you get the right size

Perfect solution to a nasty sprained ankle. Super Fast delivery from Amazon is a plus. I had considered either a boot or more complex brace. But reviews plus design and a discounted price made it a no brainer to try it. Worked through my recovery. First it is tight as a medium for men 10.5 shoe size But I was able to get the sleeve on over a compression sock. Then RICE treatment for 3 days while taking sock, sleeve, and strap off overnight. Then Rice without sleeve but strap and compression sock for 2 days. And now at day 6 still wear the strap but ankle is without pain and I credit the SS ankle brace for getting an old 85 year old on his feet quickly.

Nice and snug. Good support, but not enough for what I needed it for. Mild sprains maybe. I had an ORIF on my ankle. Maybe I can use it when I'm almost fully healed, just got extra support.

Très jolie en rose. La lanière est simple et non cousu à l'atèle chaussette, ce qui permet d'ajuster en fonction de notre morphologie et rentre bien dans la chaussure pas comme certaines que j'ai pu testé avant qui déforme la chaussure. Souple, dommage qu'il n'existe pas plusieurs taille. La couleur rose bonbon est très jolie, à voir sans le temps avec le lavage. Maintien bien la cheville. These have been great for my Achilles issue. They are comfortable to wear and have given me a little more stability in my ankle area when I feel the stain of running. I am able to wear these under socks so not to bulky and from a value point of view spot on.

This worked well after I sprained my ankle. The brace has two parts - a compression sleeve that is similar to a sock, and a wrap for extra stability. At first I wore both parts. As my ankle healed I could go for a walk outside by taking off the wrap and using the sleeve under my sock - the sleeve and sock fit relatively well in my running shoe. According to the sizing chart I was a small, but after reading the reviews I was worried the small would be too small, so I ordered both the small and medium. In the end the small stretched to fit perfectly, although when I first took it out of the package it looked ridiculously little. I will keep the medium to have on hand in case another family member injures their ankle. In my opinion the sizing chart is accurate, however if you have significant swelling in your joint you will want to size up.
