Excellent value for price. Perfect for doing smash burgers or even pressing multiple strips of bacon. Cleans well, has held up well after many hard uses on the grill, and definitely will last a long time. Great gift for a man who wants a grill press large enough to do the job well.

Nice and heavy and sturdy. Seems to be made very well too, just like the smaller round one I’ve been using. And if I’m not mistaken, still made in the USA. Perfect size, no complaints at all although I wish it was flat instead of the ridges but that’s just my preference.

Cuisinart did this right; size, weight and construction are all top-shelf. The best feature is the handle (weight is great too). The handle stays are part of the casting (handle is wood of course) and not, one of those "screw-on" versions seen on many other griddle weights. This handle construction is the same as what you find in equipment used by restaurants and other cooking professionals. I know this for certain as I grew up in a Chicago tavern and cooked professionally for many years. The direct casting of the handle stays to the base is important for hygiene and durability. If you have to screw the handle to the base there is a void in that connection that collects grease and grime. Hard to clean and not sanitary. Not an issue here. I've used mine for everything. Grilled cheese, fish, smash-burgers, etc. Works great and cleans up with little effort. I maintain mine the same way as my cast iron pans.

This is an excellent, if not compulsory tool for grilling. The +- 5 pound plate, combined with the wooden handle makes it the perfect press for burgers, bacon, panini sandwiches and the like.

Handle: With the original narrow handle I kept burning myself every time I picked this thing up, while cooking. I guess this was made for smaller hands as when I grabbed it, with my whole hand, I would touch both side of the metal bracket, both on top and inside. I finally decided to make an upgrade with some cherry I had lying around. I made it larger in diameter and also drilled/carved it at the ends so that it would cover the ends. Press: The press itself works very well, although it is warped and does not lay flat, due to 2 corners being high. This hasn't caused any issues in use, so I'm not going to be too hard on it. The factory seasoning seems to be really nice also and is pretty thick. After a quick scrubbing to clean it initially it didn't seem to diminish the seasoning and I have since added more to it. All in all, even with making a new handle and it being warped, I'm going with 4 stars as it does what it's supposed to do and does it well. It would easily be 5 stars if I didn't have to upgrade it.

The size of this is amazing sit it down and your done, there is no need to move it to different areas because it will cover it all at once. It holds up very well and super easy to clean up when your done. I can’t stop using it now and wish I bought one along time ago. Works great for bacon covers the whole strip, burgers, sausage patties, chicken breast, even pork chops. After it’s hot it helps give you them beautiful grill marks even when cooking in a griddle. This is a highly recommended item I must say and your not going to be disappointed.

Got this as a gift for my parents and they really like it. It is plenty big but it does take up a lot of storage space.
