My 15 year old son joined a disc golf club in school and has a beginner set. he wants some new discs for christmas. what size grams do i get?

New throwers usually do better learning with lighter weights that take less power to throw and are easier to control. Something in the low 160 grams may work well. The main disadvantage is it won't handle windy conditions or power throws as well but it's better to learn good form with an appropriate disc first. If he's been throwing for a year or two then he may like a disc around 170 grams, he'll develope a preference after a couple seasons.
