Great Product Support and Company
I purchased this unit to back up my Solar Panel but after several weeks I realized my batteries wasn’t charging, no sun or wind. I contacted customer service and Pikaosla contacted me back. He walked me through several tests over several days and we determined that the turbine was bad so Pikaosla informed Amazon to send me new Generator and I received the new one in 3 days. Installed and it’s working as advertised. Even tough it’s rated as low wind you need a steady 25 to 30 mph wind to get 13vdc output. I am very happy with their customer service and Pikaosla was excellent to work with. I was also impressed that the turbine was bad but they sent everything not just the turbine. Brian

Doesn't actually work....I agree
I installed this product in Jan 2022. It's nice and assembled well, and I was excited to see it spinning. It looks nice. But as far as actually generating power, it's not going to be much use. I am not saying it doesn't work at all, but when I finally made some current measurements on the thing, it did "some" power generation when it was spinning in a super strong wind burst, but other than that, not much of anything. Maybe if this thing is in a hurricane all the time, it may get you power. But just on a general farm field, it did not get me much, if anything. I hooked up 2 100W solar panels to the controller, and then that DID generate power. So the solar panels worked. I did contact customer service, and they had me do some troubleshooting. But then they wanted me to take the unit down and put a drill on it and make voltage measurements. That is not unreasonable thing to do, but I just got too busy to do it. Since the solar was getting me by, I just went with it. Around July 2022, I noticed the Solar stopped working. I did some troubleshooting and the controller was dead. I just put in a new solar controller for now and got my solar pump back up and running. I contracted customer service about the warranty on this wind turbine controller, but I got no response. So, I give it 2 stars for looking nice, and working with the solar panels. However, it main purpose is to generate wind power; which it does not actually seem to do very well at all.

Battery compatibility
No where in the item description or anywhere on the complete item page does it state what batteries are compatible with their controller. I wrote PIKASOLA and asked them if their controller works with LiFePO4 batteries. They wrote back and said YES. Last winter I took it for granted that the turbine was charging the batteries. The solar panels were charging. With winter coming, and some high winds coming I let the batteries drain about 15% so I could actually find out if the Turbine is charging the batteries. Last couple of days the wind blew and the turbine looked like an airplane prop. Great, so I thought. While the controller had a green light showing the turbine was sending power to the controller, it did not charge the batteries at all. I thought the controller was bad and was going to order a new one. I saw one, from PIKASOLA, that was a step up from the one that came with the system. Upon reading its description, it actually stated, ONLY GOOD FOR LEAD ACID AND GEL BATTERIES. I was either lied to or they don't know what they are talking about. I contacted them NOW, and all they had were excuses. So, I ordered a new hybrid controller, NOT FROM PIKASOLA, that actually states, WILL WORK WITH ALL BATTERY TYPES. It's sad that someone tells someone some wrong information and doesn't know there own products. Don't trust any answers to any questions you may have.

The Wind Blows for A good Turbine
I have clue as to how a wind turbine is to work other they the blows and the blades turn a generator like a car's alternator and that's where I stop. That was till started using the company's wind turbine. This is so simple to install and I've got issues with building and assembly these days. If there is an issue send them a message and they will respond fast. They are very easy to work with and take the time to be sure you are happy with and understand the help they gave. They are such a great bunch of people who care about what they make and will be sure that you are comfortable and love their turbine. They are different I think cause not many companies do as much as they have by helping and keeping me informed about everything. They make a great wind turbine/solar system kit. Thank you all at Pikasola

No ground wire is indicated
Product is sturdy, considering that much of it is plastic. You might want assistance from an electrician to install, since all wires are red and no ground wire is indicated. Not grounding the product well, would not be wise. One should also study up on the price of two inch metal pipe of any length since it is very high. Two inch pcv pipe might suffice if you place support cables or band the pipe to a structure. I have not actually installed the product yet, so I cannot comment on product reliability, only on installation issues related to it.

Mounting pole NOT included.
I am a proud new owner of this wind generator. Yay! I was ok with having to get my own mounting pole, except the instructions say to get a 2" diameter one. I am here to say "that is wrong"! A 2" pole will not fit in the clamp. I had to go back to the store for a 2" to 1.5" coupler/step-down and a 12" long piece of 1.5" diameter pipe to add to the top of the pole. The generator mounted perfectly on the 1.5" pipe end. In hindsight, I am glad the bottom 10 feet of the pole are 2" diameter (for more strength), but the turbine won't mount to it as is. I took one star off because of the misinformation that caused issues during install.

I like this wind turbine
Setup was really easy, took me about 10 minutes to assemble and a little extra time to wire it up. I’b testing, it was generating power until an anchor came loose and it faceplanted, crushing the nose cone. Support was easy and they are sending me a replacement. I’ll update this when I start running it again.

Looks decent
not set up yet... but looks like it is robust. Yes, as others have noted... the size of the collar is a little 1/4" off from some existing tower posts I currently posses. some modification may be needed. Waiting for the tower and ability to get the ground dug out.
